Great Service Staff but 1 star for Maintenance. The Service Staff at Spreen Mazda is GREAT! The maintenance suggestions on my wifes CX-9 in unreal and really makes no since on such an Awesome vehic The Service Staff at Spreen Mazda is GREAT! The maintenance suggestions on my wifes CX-9 in unreal and really makes no since on such an Awesome vehicle with such low miles. After this last visit I'm really trying to talk my wife into a New Vehicle. If we need to spend an extra $1000 every 30,000 miles we should have a Mercedes or BMW not a mazda. My son was looking at the Mazda 6 but I'm talking him out of it because of the maintenance issues we're getting from you guys on the CX-9. We haven't really had any issues but your service suggestions of course scare my wife into thinking we need all this done. That Sucks! Not liking that at all and seriously looking for a new SUV. Dissatisifed with Sales service First I'll start with the Good. We took our first test drive of a CX-9 and CX-5 with Gabe. That was a great experieince. We were not ready to buy t First I'll start with the Good. We took our first test drive of a CX-9 and CX-5 with Gabe. That was a great experieince. We were not ready to buy that day yet, but he did an excellent job in demonstrating the cars and treating us very well. He explained that he was a Sales rep for Vets, and did not pressure us into anything since he knew we didn't know what we wanted yet, which made us want to come back. So once we made our decision on the car, we dicided to use Truecar. Right away a rep from Spreen and Cardinale in Corona reached out first. We had a great experinece in Cardinale where they were waiting for us to test drive a 2018 CX-9, waiting for us in front already. We decided to go with a 2019, but decided to go back to Spreen since we also had a great experience. I told the person I was talking with that we were just trying to descide between red, white, and black. She did mention that Black might be hard to come by at that moment for the trim we wanted, however, they could get one. So I set up an appoitnment with her for the same day on a Saturday. We expected to be greeted and expected by her and be able to see each of those colors. We get there, and it seemed no one knew we were even coming. On top of that we didn't speak to the person we were dealing with over the phone. Or at least get introduced to a sales rep. Next, they did not have those cars out so it had to be searched for. The Sales Rep told us that they did not have that trim or color other than Grey. That her sales manager even told her the day before they had none. But the rep I was talking to through TrueCar said they did. So our now assigned sales rep said she found one on her system and went to look for it. She came back after what felt like a pretty long time not having found it. At that point we were ready to leave. She tried to stop us and said she would look again. Again after about 10 min, she came back and had found it. At this point we were a little bitter, but it was the car we wanted, so we took another test drive and then spoke about financing. Long story short with that, we were happy with the deal. Finally we moved to signing all the paperwork and then were just waiting for the car to finish getting washed. HOWEVER, our sales rep came back and said there was an error with the VIN number and it was for the grey version which was slightly less expensive. At this point I was ready to leave again until she assured me that the numbers would all be the same, but I would have to speak to the person with all the paperwork to review. At review we noticed the monthly price stayed the same but did not get a discount on the car due to this mistake. Although I understand the price was different, I was really disappointed that sales rep didn't even try to negotiate to get the price to match. Or at least adjust the cost of adding Apple car play. Now we had to go through all the paper work again. Just because this was the car I was looking for and didn't want to start the whole process again, but 3 times I felt I should have left. I work for a sales organization and felt I should give this feedback. I hope that this is a one off, and it not, that this review will help in making some adjustments. Overall, I would say the process was disjointed in passing us from the TrueCar rep to a sales rep, and didn't inspire me to come back again. It also felt like the sales rep was rushed and just wanted to get out of there. I'm not saying that was the case, but it felt that way. Lastly, the reason we went online and had conversations was to make the purchase as quick and painless as possible for all. I will come back for servicing as needed because I love my car and the service when I had to go back to get Apple Car play installed went well. More
