High Pressure, Unprofessional Sales Technics If you like circa 1980, abrasive, and pushy, unprofessional salesmen who treat customers like mindless idiots, then I recommend you visit Spitzer Chev If you like circa 1980, abrasive, and pushy, unprofessional salesmen who treat customers like mindless idiots, then I recommend you visit Spitzer Chevy in North Canton. Specifically, ask for Brian Van Riper. I was interested in buying a new Chevy Malibu and simply wanted to get a net, bottom price from two dealers for a new vehicle, less the trade-in value of my vehicle. I told them both that I would go with the best offer without negotiating, which I absolutely hate to do. I visited Doug's Chevrolet in Green, Ohio. I explained my purpose and within 45 minutes, then test drove my vehicle and gave me a bottom line price. No hassles. Then I went to Spitzer. I made my intentions clear to the Mr. Van Riper, including the fact that I wasn’t buying a vehicle that day. He seemed to have a hard time comprehending that someone wouldn’t make a $20,000 decision on the spot with a sales person chirping in his ear. He then got the sales manager who played the game of giving me an offer that was only good for tonight. This went back and forth for nearly an hour. Shame on me for not leaving then. The best part came when my wife called, and some weasel was eaves dropping on my conversation with my wife and thought I was talking to the other dealer. This individual then mentioned what he thought he heard to Mr. Van Riper and the sales manager, and they gave me attitude because they thought I was playing one dealer against another. That was all that I needed to hear to leave. I’m just amazed that there’s still car dealerships that conduct business like that today. More
Terrible customer service Took my car in for a maintenance check...was charged $100 for a diagnostic. Excessive I thought but ok, it's a dealership. The best part was when I went to pay the bill and the young girl, erin, trying to up her commission, attempted to charge me an additional $90 for the diagnostic of my rest wiper blade...it was ridiculous! Terrible customer service and service department. Stay far far away from this service department. Been back 8 times for same problem still not fixed. Also when I couldn't get remote starter to work (which I admit...I forget I had to push the lock button twice before pushing remote start), they didn't remind me to do that. They told me to hold remote up to my head to increase frequency waves!!! Finally talked to a friend who reminded me how to use remote start. Brand new car bought out of state. They told me maybe I should just take it back to them! More

Purchase of used car Having been to several different dealerships I will say this was the best organized dealership of all. Wanting to purchase a used 2014 impala limited and shopping on-line for over a month spitzer did have the lowest priced vehicle that was a certified used car which usually pushes the price up 1000 to 2000 on the same car. After looking at a car a progressive chevy I called spitzer to make sure the vehicle I was interested in was still there. I was out right through to a salesman (Brian) who looked it up and informed me it was. While enroute the sales manager called me to introduce himself and verify my appointment and on my arrival the car was parked in front with dealer plate on it and salesman was at door with carfax and keys in hand. Car was immaculate and not only had plastic over carpet but spitzer matts on top of that. I did purchase car and was very impressed how this salesman prepared for the appointment. Some other dealerships even after calling you have to wait for salesperson, wait for them to locate car, ask for car fax, car is dirty, etc. Not with this dealership !!! More
unethical, terrible Had 2 deals in place and when I got there both times they backed out on both deals and changed the numbers. My salesman and 2 managers were in on it. They brought in a out of state truck(didn't tell them to) and even programed my phone. They get you excited and smash your hopes with their unethical games. Needless to say I walked out. DO NOT go there. Horrible experience and they waste your valuable time. More
