After the first conversation with Craig Edwards I knew that I was making the right decision to purchase my vehicle at Southtowne Hyuandai Riverdale. BUYERS BEWARE-DISHONEST-DECEITFUL-SCAMMER- Jeff Barnes lied about the car I bought being in an accident, did not disclose it had a branded title. When he was questioned he stated “it wasn’t his fault I bo lied about the car I bought being in an accident, did not disclose it had a branded title. When he was questioned he stated “it wasn’t his fault I bought a buy back” which was not disclosed in fact he was asked and he said no it was not. He became arrogant and nasty towards me as if it was my fault. He offered to buy it back as long as I bought another vehicle from him which will NOT happen. I have contacted an attorney and now having to go that route in order for this to be resolved because none of the management cares to listen let alone fix this.i have recorded many conversations with Jeff Barnes and have many texts of him agreeing to buy it back. The car is currently sitting on their lot meanwhile I am still making monthly payments. Jeff also tried to get me to invest into him buying used cars from the auction, fixing them and then selling them for a small profit, I didn’t know this man what so ever but shortly after I did my application and he received my bank statements he started pressing me daily to invest in him. He is a con artist! He also had a guy named Rich P Successful with Atlanta Luxury Rentals ( seriously the man changed his name to that) called me to beg me not to go to management and get him fired because this man has 10 deals he said he was closing through this dealership with Jeff and if Jeff was fired then he would loose his money he had in the deals. Rich also offered to put my car in his rental fleet and pay me 20% of the profits monthly while he paid the car note and insurance. He showed me a one page, YES A 1 PAGE contract (which I have a copy of). Never would I agree to that but that was Jeff’s way of trying to get that car taken care of without having to buy it back and me not go to management. They are trying to scam you and probably money laundering! Stay away from this dealership! More
I came in today as my third service appointment to fix an issue i was having with my Elantra. The first two times the issue was not resolve. That being said, with my appointment today I was already on a high issue i was having with my Elantra. The first two times the issue was not resolve. That being said, with my appointment today I was already on a high level of frustration. My first point of contact was Victor. He was extremely patient with me and emphasized with my heightened frustration with the issue i was having. He called out the tech Chad to take a listen to a video i had recorded of the sound. Chad then took the car for a drive and in less than 45mins the issue was resolved. Note i had been dealing with this issue for almost a year. Chad and Victor took the time to really listen to me which I felt like I hadn’t really gotten before!! These two gentlemen are the reason why i will be making this my home dealership!! A very unprofessional individual and lacks integrity from our experience to the core. Had to return a 2020 vehicle my wife and I were approved for due to the vehicle being damaged which was discovered as we our experience to the core. Had to return a 2020 vehicle my wife and I were approved for due to the vehicle being damaged which was discovered as we are doing our check of it before driving it off the dealership premises... After him persuading us to drive it on home and bring back next day to go in bodyshop; we were informed by our family attorney not to keep a damaged 2020. Upon returning the vehicle in less than 24 hrs this person told my wife and I that we WASNT returning anything and it was ours.... He said... HOW BOUT THAT... HE THEN YELLED in front of other customers and employees very loudly as we had other discussions referencing things about the deal that was not disclosed to us. Such as the vehicle being a DEMO with 4619 miles which my wife and I did not catch during the signing process. I AM A SEVERE STROKE SURVIVOR... HE THEN STATED QUOTE... IT AINT MY FAULT YOU AND YOUR WIFE GOT BAD CREDIT. His colleagues were trying to tell him to not speak to us like that and telling him to calm down. NEVERTHELESS... After telling him a few CHOICE WORDS... We returned the keys and vehicle and left the premises. This was shocking to us that this employee felt comfortable enough to disrespect us as such and thought my wife and I would remain customers with this dealership off his actions... My wife and I loved the vehicle and the entire process was a lot more pleasant than at other dealerships where I had purchased a car (I have 71 years of experience)! He knew the details of the vehicle very well and I like an informed salesperson! Jeff Barnes was also very helpful and less pushy than other sales managers I have dealt with in the past. He looked for the vehicle I wanted and presented several different options to purchase different colors, model trims, etc. I have to recommend the dealership as one that anyone looking for a new Hyundai should visit before buying.
