I have been bringing my vehicle in for servicing since I purchased it in 2015. This last visit was the first time I had a problem. I brought my Nissan Murano in for an oil change, tire rotation, and state purchased it in 2015. This last visit was the first time I had a problem. I brought my Nissan Murano in for an oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection. I have made a habit of numbering my tires with a Sharpie to make sure the rotation is done. I picked up my vehicle in the evening, so it was already dark. It was the next morning when I looked at my tires and could see that they had not been rotated. I called and left a couple of messages with the service department over the course of a few hours. Someone eventually called me back and set up a time for me to come back in. I was able to return the next day. I dealt with the same young lady on both of my visits. On the return visit, she claimed that the service technician insisted that he had rotated the tires. I showed her where I had numbered them, so there could be no dispute. She then measured the trend and politely said the tires did not need to be rotated anyway. I purchased those tires at Southern Team and they have been rotated every 5,000 miles. She refunded me the cost of the tire rotation. First, I thought the whole point of having tires rotated was so that they wear evenly. So, I still don't understand how she could measure the tread and determine that no rotation was needed. Second, whether or not the tires needed to be rotated was not the point. The service technician was clearly mistaken or, I'm sorry to say, just flat out lying when he said he had rotated the tires. I am extremely disappointed and will certainly have to think twice about bringing my vehicle back for servicing. More
