Original reason for appointment was my complaint of very low average gas mileage from 12/18/2020 to present .Average mileage is 22.4 mpg with 70% city (rural) driving and 30% highway. Vehicle appears to operate normally in all other aspects! Mentioned after first tank of gas and wasd told to wait till engine is beak in period (1000 miles) is complete ! I did and through 4 fill-ups mileage has averaged 22.4 mpg? Now @ 1095 miles still 22.4 mpg.? Service dept personnel stated I should use tier 1 (better/best quality gas? I use Kroger for all our vehicles with no issues what so ever ! They also stated I needed to keep a record of gas purchases and mileage (Already have to date) The trip computer clearly states AVG MPG 22.4 or may have been 22.5 mpg on this service date.At any rate I agreed to try exxon or shell next fill up to see. car inspection completed and oil was over filled from last service on 10/21 ,also corrected and vehicle washed! As I was leaving , I read the service receipt and it stated : Owner would have to make another appointment and leave vehicle with them to check low mileage issue? Now I will have to make another appointment and leave my vehicle to check low mpg issue (what I brought it in for originally this time) If I knew they needed me to leave it earlier , I could have dropped it off and left it for another day or as they needed !I really like the vehicle but 22.4 avg mpg from a conservative driver is unacceptable ! After next fill-up , with more expensive big name gas and seeing if there is any difference I will schedule another appointment! James J. Maguire! More
