Service work I went into Southern States for a repair that I was told would not be covered on the warranty, depending on the code. When the service came to me she tells me that it is not covered but they have to replace the steering column because the power steering went out. The staff was very nice and tried to be understanding as much as they could. However it’s Hyundai’s way or no way. Once I agree to the repair since it’s so hard to turn, I ask for a loaner car and am told they do not have any because they are all on recalls. I then had to go to a rental company and obtain a car out of my pocket. Even though I was told when I purchased the car I would always be able to get a loaner wherever I took the car for service. I guess all dealers don’t stand by the same code. There was no attempt to help with this or check for coverage under warranty in other ways. I understand if it was the EPS sensor for the power steering but when you have to replace the entire steering column is completely different. More

Excellent First Time Experience Buyer Being that this was my first time experience with car buying, Takye put all my nerves aside and took care of everything through my whole experience. You could tell he actually cared and was not just trying to make a sale. Takye was very personable while at the same time professional and hooked me up with the exact color I was hoping for and I drove off with my brand new Hyundai Kona in less than 24 hours! Service department runs smoothly only part of the time. Most of the time I have had a great experience with simple service requests. However there has been 4 separate instances where I had an appointment, dropped my car off in the morning waited the entire day and never received an update on my vehicle. I would return at the end of the day only to find that nothing has been done to my car so my day has been a complete waist. This is unacceptable and happens way too often to be a fluke. More
Courtesy and excellent service I arrived at 3pm for my scheduled appointment for 10,000 service on my 2018 Sonata and was processed in immediately. The check in area and employeee were neat and professional. I then waited in the customer waiting room that had WiFi access, large screen tv, free snacks, coffee, and water, and most importantly comfortable padded chairs. I was able to get caught up with all of my social media and before I knew it they came and said my car was ready. What was cool was; he had the work order with him and a mobile card reader so I could pay as we sat after going over work order. It was a really efficient operation!!!! He then walked me out side and pulled my car up to the curb for me. Excellent customer service Southern States Hyundai!!!!! More

Service department review: only go if necessary! Dakota was a pleasure to work with but the work itself could be better. When paying for an oil change and other repairs the windsheild wiper fluid wa Dakota was a pleasure to work with but the work itself could be better. When paying for an oil change and other repairs the windsheild wiper fluid was missed leaving me to worry what else was missed. Other dealerships will complementary vacuum/wash car; this place does the bare minimum. My check engine light was "adjusted." The paperwork didn't state the code for reference. They reduced the "diagnostic" cost after I questioned what I was paying for. I'd recommended to only have work done here if absolutely necessary. The charlotte location was far more superior and thorough/provided shuttle all throughout the city. When walking into the Raleigh location there isn't a greet. Overall, the only pleasant part is communication with Dakota but she can't be responsible for her counterparts. More
