I initially began working with Mark while searching for a new vehicle (F150). Unfortunately for him, the deciciveness that I have to have on the job didn't carry over into my skills as a new car shopper. I wavered back and forth on various options that I wanted/didn't want and visited the dealership multiple times. I'm pretty sure my wife's patience wore out long before Mark's did :-) Even though he was aware that I was also considering purchasing a Dodge Ram, he didn't pressure me, gave me his honest opinions, always made time for me and made me feel as though I was one of his most important customers. Since the dealership didn't have exactly what I was looking for, he researched options at other dealerships and kept me up to date via e-mail and phone in a very hands off way that wasn't annoying or that made me feel pressured. Eventually, I made up my mind on a Ford, but decided to shop for a used vehicle. Mark continued to work with me, and once I FINALLY decided what I wanted; he located a vehicle that surpassed my expectations almost immediately. He worked with me every step of the way and made this the best car buying experience I've ever had. I trust Mark and highly recommend him to future customers. His attitude has given me a very positive impression of the dealership and of the Hall Automotive chain overall. If my job ever brings me back to the area, I'll start and most likely finish here to find the vehicle I'm looking for. More
First met by new sales consultant Cathy. She was quick to meet us out in the "New Car" lot. She immediately introduced herself to us and asked what we had come to look for. We were interested in a Ford to meet us out in the "New Car" lot. She immediately introduced herself to us and asked what we had come to look for. We were interested in a Ford Flex. She was quick to let us inside the vehicle to look at the interior and offered us a test drive. Her trainer, Isa Saunders, came out and introduced himself and got us a key to the vehicle with no hassle. They allowed us to take our time in the vehicle without having a consultant ride with us (great so we can discuss the car freely without influence). Upon returning the car, they brought us into the showroom and we explained we had just started looking for a new car. There was no pressure to buying. He did explain Hall's reputation, financing options, and incentives Ford was offering. Would return to these two and Hall Ford without a doubt! More
On a recent visit to Williamsburg Virginia, I had the misfortune to have my vehicle hit by another while checking into our hotel. It was Friday evening June 25th, when the incident occured. While the damage was not all that extensive, the rear bumper on my vehicle was ripped partially off requireing immediate attention in order to drive it a long distance. Being from out of state and out of country, I soon realized when checking, that Collision repair shops in the Virginia area were closed on Saturday morning. We found our way to an AAA depot on Saturday morning approx 11:00 am, in Newport News. The gentleman suggested that I take my vehicle to Hall Body shop. Being a Ford dealership and my vehicle a Ford Escape I felt a hopeful relief that things were turning around. We arrived at Halls at 11:40 or so that morning and had the pleasure to speak with Ron Mendenhall, Assistant manager of your Body/Paint shop. Ron had a look at the damage and while the shop was open for estimates only, Ron said not to worry, he would try to get us patched up enough to make the rest of our trip and back to Canada. While we waited in the comfortable air conditioned waiting area, Ron spent appox 20 minutes out in the hot sun to make the temporary repair. My wife and I are very grateful for the wonderful customer service provided by Ron Mendenhall and extend a special Thanks for helping to get us on our way until we could get back to Canada and have the vehicle repaired. I had my 2008 Edge services at Hall Ford this week. I am always impressed with their service and attitude towards the end user. I was very impressed with the sheet's layout, ease to follow and especially the information on the back of the sheet (disc brake & suspension). Hall Ford was VERY responsive to internet contact (phone call within 10 minutes, excellent follow-up). Larry of internet sales was very friendly & knowledgable; NOT high-pressure. Larry was also reassuring, and explained the entire buying process to me ahead of time. Kyle (finance): Kyle is a "car guy" that I really connected with; he's not like most dealer finance guys I've encountered in the past with their gold rings and chains. Best of all, both Larry & Kyle were respectful of me & my time. There was some difficulty in the dealer-exchange for my car (from another state) which delayed delivery a day or two, but the sales manager (Dan) stayed in touch with me well regarding what was happening and kept me updated. I've recommended improving the D-X process to better document exchange terms & conditions so that if one person is out sick or on travel on a Monday the whole deal that was made on Saturday afternoon with that person doesn't have to be renegotiated. Upon delivery the new car lacked the required VA state front license plate bracket (which Larry aranged for the service dept to install after I got there) & had some dirt scuffs on the dashboard that should not have been there but was otherwise very clean. Larry patiently showed me how key features on my car worked, set up my bluetooth, and otherwise modified his normal delivery routine to get me on my way quickly (there were thunderstorms approaching). These are nits and overall I was very pleased with my buying experience. I am the type of person that is not trusting of new car dealerships, but Hall Ford provided an environment & buying experience in which I felt relaxed. More

My final selection was 2005 Isuzu Ascender that a previous customer had traded in over the weekend. I came in on Monday March 8, 2010 with another SUV in mind and the used car manager Mark McLeod told me about the Ascender. He informed that it had low miles and then suggested I take a look at it. I was so excited when I saw it that I immediately knew I wanted to purchase it. I called my father and told him that I have found my next vehicle. Later that same day Mr. Colter, my father, and I took it for a test drive. It needed a new radio/cd player and a few minor repairs, but other than that it was well taken care. Mr. Mcleod and Mr. Colter made sure all repairs were perform and a new factory radio was installed. Mr. Womack made the financing portion of the transaction very enjoyable. Mr. Womack made sure I understood every section of the financial forms and explained each portion of the warrenty. On March 10, 2010 I drove off the lot with my new preown vehicle.
