Mr. John Barron was a life saver. I had a bad experience with another dealership, and he kept in touch with me in reference to the vehicle I had been tracking for 2 weeks. Fortunately for me, the person who with another dealership, and he kept in touch with me in reference to the vehicle I had been tracking for 2 weeks. Fortunately for me, the person who was originally buying the vehicle ended up not buying it, so I was able to put a hold on the car and pick it up Memorial Day (I spoke with him the Thursday prior.) When I arrived at the dealership Monday morning ( live in Woodbridge, VA; the dealership is in Newport News...over 2 hour away), several people recognized my name and had paperwork ready for me...and the car was detailed and ready to go (with a sign on the front seat that sead "sold".) The whole process took less that 3 hours (and that includes the 30 minutes I took driving the vehicle around before the sale.) Everyone I worked with was extremely professional and curteous. No one tried to haggle me into anything I didn't want, and they thoroughly explained anything I had questions about. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a Ford...regardless of where you are in Virginia! More
I stopped in to just look at a vehicle on the lot. I was greeted by Chris in a VERY friendly and professional manner right away. Most sales people at other dealerships would have just walked away from me as soon as I said that but he spent more than 30 minutes with me, took me inside and showed me things about his products that I knew nothing about. I bought a new 2003 Expedition from Nat, and loved him and the experience..Whenever I would go in for service, we would chat. With gas prices what they are now, I needed to downsize to an economical car, and the experience..Whenever I would go in for service, we would chat. This week I bought a 2012 Focus from him, He is so knowledgeable and friendly. Dave and Cameron at hall really helped me out getting approved for my first auto purchase. They were able to find a lender and really just took care of everything i needed and explained every step of the approved for my first auto purchase. I honestly HATE the car buying experience and had a bad outlook on auto dealers but Dave and Cameron changed my mind. I went to Hall Ford to purchase my first car. All of the employees were very kind and helpful. They were attentive to my every need and answered every question I had... and I had quite a few. I have been happy with Hall Ford until this past week when I attempted to get the free state inspection for a car originally purchased from Hall Ford. I am extremely unhappy because they said that I nee when I attempted to get the free state inspection for a car originally purchased from Hall Ford. I am extremely unhappy because they said that I needed a $1900 repair to pass the inspection. I took the car to a different shop for the repairs because I received an estimate that was 1/3 the cost of Hall however they could not find the problem. They even kept the car overnight to recheck it first thing in the morning when the car was completely cold. I had them inspect the car. I doubt I will ever go back to Hall for Sales or Service! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks for the response however I'm am not sure if the message was completely understood. I absolutely understand that any repairs to the car are at my cost. I have no dispute with that. My issue is with the inspector failing the car for something that was not an issue. The shop I took it to kept it for 2 days trying to find a leak to fix. There wasn't one. I feel the diagnoses by Hall was either incorrect or dishonest and could have cost me $1900. Obviously that leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Also, I looked for manager email addresses on your website and was unable to find any. I think it would be good customer service to provide that information to your customers so when a problem occurs they that option as an avenue to provide feedback. LAST UPDATE: I met the State Police Inspector at Hall Ford and nobody was able to detect a leak, see a leak with the smoke machine, see ANY signs of a leak. The mechanic still insists that it at least leaks first thing in the morning however there was NO rust or carbon to indicate ANY leak. No apology or other attempt to improve on my customer experience. Also, since this issue I have spoken to a couple of people that have also had problems with this service department. Interesting stories to say the least. I will purchase my next vehicle (which will still be a Ford) somewhere else! More

My husband and I went shopping for a new bed frame and came home with a new 2011 F-150 Ecoboost!! The financing department and general manager were just as awsome...the whole process of trading in our 2009 GMC Sierra and purchasing the new Ford only took about 3 hours, the shortest trip to buy a vehicle I have ever had!!! They schedualed the enviromental package within the next day and covered our rental car, plus took the time to walk us through how to use the new Sync technology. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommened all to visit Hall Ford in Newport News. More

He had followed the W/O and couldn't duplicate the problem. Now many places would just put down could not duplicate on the work order. He came out and asked me to show him what was the problem. I went out and showed him. He was glad to have the information and stated I'm so sorry, I was looking at the front steering gear and didn't know it was the actual steering wheel that made the noise. He then took it back into the shop and tightened the steering wheel up (less than a quarter of a turn) and came back to me to see if I approved and if that had cured the problem. That was all it was and the noise that only occurred during quick turns in a parking area (a click) was gone. I have driven vehicles for 28 years in the military and now as a mechanic and vehicle maintenance instructor teach others how to repair them. I have dealt with many that would have made it out to be me hearing things. I’m sure it was just a minor metal burr on the steering shaft but his extra couple of minutes talking to me probably put him over on the time book for this repair. The thing is, he provided the kind of customer service and little bit extra that will make me talk to my friends about Hall Ford and will keep this old guy getting tired of working on my own cars coming back for more repairs. Someone tell him again thank you, it is the little extra that makes a difference! Trust me, I know how picky customers can be. Pete and Linda Duffy More
