Hall Ford, Fake Smiles & Service Went there with the intention of trading in a car and taking advantage of the Ford Sales Event. I was greeted with no problem, took a test drive while they priced my trade. They gave me a very low trade in value, so I went for a cheaper model by $2,000. For some reason it didn't make that much difference. I was about to give up and then the sales man offered a third and cheaper model and closer to the payment I wanted and I was willing to check it out. Then here comes one of the sales managers with my trade key, places it on the desk and tells me that they are not able to offer me what I want and they don't have what I am looking for. I just grabbed my key and walked out. I've never been kicked out of a dealer before even if they don't have or can offer me what I want. I did their trade in offer calculation on their site and it gave me a lot more trade in value than what I was offered. Even the lady on the phone said that they would be able to offer a higher trade in value than offered on the site once they saw the car. Basically do your homework before going in there and expect to get bare minimum for your trade in and don't expect them to bend over backwards for you, because if you are a hard sell they don't want to play hardball. They want an easy customer with an easy sell. Went to a Toyota dealer and got a sweet ride for $260 a month and I told them no more than $300 a month, go figure even better than I was looking for, what a deal!!!! My point is, shop around and you will be surprised at the wonderful service and deals other dealers offer compared to this one. Specially the wonderful CUSTOMER SERVICE. Good luck! More

WON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGAIN! Our salesperson was helpful at first. We had our eye on a used 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe online in Virginia Beach as well as 4 other vehicles that were, Our salesperson was helpful at first. We had our eye on a used 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe online in Virginia Beach as well as 4 other vehicles that were, unfortunately, not in Newport News. After reassuring us that he could get any car brought here, he was rather adamant about me needing to "make up my mind" and narrow my choices down to one car. We asked him about warranties and extended warranties. He never once mentioned that we could have the Hyuandai we were looking at delivered to the Hyuandai store and there it could be CERTIFIED so we could get the remainder of the car's warranty. We ended up going over to Hall Hyundai next door to see what a new Santa Fe looked like so we could at least get an idea about body style and features. While over there, we found out about the certification process and asked our salesperson if the vehicle could be delivered there. He stated that it could and that he could sell it to us from there. He then proceeded to drop us in favor of assisting a higher paying customer. He dumped our sale in the lap of a wonderful sales associate named Ashley Cline at Hall Hyuandai who agreed to take care of the deal after our former salesperson told her she could "have half of the commission". This was highly unprofessional of him and frankly, she should have received the entire commission. Our purchased 4 cars from Hall Ford over the years, but we will NOT BE USING HALL FORD AGAIN. More
Hall Ford a sad excuse of a service center. I usually self-service all of my vehicle needs. Due to a lack of spare time I decided to have a Ford certified shop perform repairs on my vehicle. I drove my 2 self-service all of my vehicle needs. Due to a lack of spare time I decided to have a Ford certified shop perform repairs on my vehicle. I drove my 2005 F150 ~30 miles to this service center. I had a misfire on cylinder #5 which I had diagnose prior to bringing it to the shop. The spark plug and ignition coil pack were GOOD which I diagnosed prior to putting it in the shop as well. Hall's technician performed his diagnostic test and confirmed what I diagnosed to be true (misfire on #5, plug and coil pack GOOD). They perform a compression test on #5 and stated that it was low and they wanted to remove the valve cover to inspect the valves. I granted them permission to do so. Upon completing their inspection they stated that the valves look fine and recommended that I needed to replace the engine. (huh?!!) They provided no root cause nor any additional information related to the failure. When I requested the compression measurement they could not provide it for the tech did not record it. They never performed dry and wet compression test which is a standard test used to determine the condition of the pistons and rings, cylinder, valves and seats, and even the head gasket. When I presented this to the service manager she was clueless and had never heard of a dry and wet compression test. I disputed my case to the top authority at this location with no reconciliation. The service charge was $517 and they provided me no useful information nor insight as the the truck's failure. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this repair shop. However, this location does have a pretty impressive NEW car lot. But with this kind of repair service, I would not buy from Hall Ford. More
My husband and I are a military couple new the the Newport News area and felt very welcome at Hall Ford. We both knew exactly what we wanted and what we could afford and the team at hall (salesman, sales manager, and finance team) did not push us to pay for any more than we had asked, they actually were able to get us under our expected payment! I was very hesitant to step into a dealership with all the stress we are under from the move to Virginia but the team here at Hall made the process easy and enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly and was willing to listen to our wants and needs rather than try to convince us otherwise! I would recommend Hall to any of my friends or family and never think twice! Thank you Clint and thank you Hall team you were wonderful! More
I have been searching for a 2013 Shelby. I have been trying to get the best deal between dealers and started exchanging email with your sales manager Eddie. One is a Vice-President from Pepsi that left a dealership in Chattanooga, TN that the dealer was asking 12K over. He called and put an Internet lead in asking if we would take $6,500 over....his offer without even asking what we were asking for it. Also, a Kuwaiti prince as well is inquiring about the same car. Its just a market like any other market, oil, gold,corn...ups nad downs depending on supply/demand" So I reply with disbelief and get this response back: "These are the type of people that buy these cars and pay that kind of money. You probably wouldn’t believe that our last one went to New Zealand either. No worries, good luck in your search." I might not be these type of people but this type of person WAS INTERESTED IN BUYING A 2013 SHELBY!! Another form of Discrimination. More
