My husband and I purchased a beautiful, brand-new, red Ford Explorer ST Line from Southern Ford four days before my birthday! We had been driving a Dodge Caravan since 2005, and we were utterly amazed (an Ford Explorer ST Line from Southern Ford four days before my birthday! We had been driving a Dodge Caravan since 2005, and we were utterly amazed (and a little overwhelmed) by all of the changes car manufacturers have made to their vehicles, so we needed a wonderful salesperson to patiently explain and demonstrate all of the new features for us and to be the passenger as we test-drove the Explorer for the first time! OLIVER LAMB was the kind and helpful salesperson we originally dealt with while we were van-searching, and he did a great job of following up with us and helping us to research our options. After deciding not to purchase a van, however, we returned a few weeks later with the aim of purchasing a new Ford Explorer instead. JAY JARVIS was that special salesperson who cheerfully assisted us and patiently took the time to guide us and to respond to all of our questions - both before, during, and after our big purchase. JAY was confident and well-informed, but when he was unsure of something, he was careful to look it up himself or to ask the service department for the information. We did have some additional inquiries following the sale, and we appreciated hearing the same friendly voice, available to answer more of our questions. Each time, JAY took the careful initiative to follow up as promised and to show that he cared. We are exceptionally pleased with our new SUV and with the outstanding way that all of the Southern Ford staff treated us throughout the whole process of researching vehicles, learning about all of their new features, test-driving, following up, negotiating, and finally sealing the deal! Car-buying can be especially stressful, but we were treated with utmost respect and kindness at all times. DAKOTA BOOTH was the polite and knowledgeable gentleman who led the negotiations with my husband and I, though JAY remained with us as well. My husband is a very 'hard sell', but he was impressed with the manner that DAKOTA and JAY interacted with us. DAKOTA allowed us to take the vehicle overnight on an additional test drive, and I feel that he was very transparent at the table on the value of the vehicle and on the fair price he was able to sell it for. We did not feel put on the spot or pressured in any way, DAKOTA and JAY were sensitive about giving us quiet spaces to think over the details, to ask all of the questions we wanted, and then to discuss the offer privately between ourselves. JAY presented pamphlets that gave us all of the warranty details to ensure that we fully understood what we were buying. Having that clearer understanding was a big help when we then had to meet with the warranty rep in the final stage of the buying process. Both DAKOTA and JAY provided us with superlative customer service and gave us a great deal on our SUV!! I would highly recommend Southern Ford as the place to go for full, fair, and friendly service and a fine vehicle. The service person seemed disorganized. I called to check on my car and was told it was ready for pickup. When I arrived the manager discovered he was looking at wrong car and mine had not I called to check on my car and was told it was ready for pickup. Went to another facility where the error code revealed I needed to replace the canister purge valve. Southern replaced that a month ago. 2 weeks ago the check engine light came back on. Brought car in again and was told computer was cleared of code. Then Tuesday light came back on. This prompted my visit yesterday. The new facility checked the code and it still showed canister purge valve needs replacement or the code needs to be cleared. More

I recently had knee surgery with complications. While I was unable to drive, my inspection sticker expired. Southern Ford was able to fit me in the next day!!! And they included my oil change too!
