This is the 4th vehicle we have bought from Southern, and second from Eddie. WE WILL NEVER LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF ANOTHER DEALERSHIP OR SELLER. Hands down best customer service my husband, and myself have second from Eddie. WE WILL NEVER LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF ANOTHER DEALERSHIP OR SELLER. Eddie Mac is fantastic, he literally sprints around the store to make sure you are taken care of as quickly and efficiently as possible. When my husband was ready to stab me, Eddie Mac was quick to diffuse the situation. "A happy wife, is a happy life," as Eddie would say. Which is true. I have my fantastic Doge Ram 1500, and my husband dose not have to hear me whine...at least till 2015. :) patient, fun, knowledgeable, Eddie Mac for Salesman of the century!!! More
TRUE STORY; WORTH READING. It's 28 degrees outside TRUE STORY; WORTH READING. It's 28 degrees outside and we were thinking how dumb we were for actually looking at cars in this weather!!!!. We spoke TRUE STORY; WORTH READING. It's 28 degrees outside and we were thinking how dumb we were for actually looking at cars in this weather!!!!. We spoke with April on the phone and she tells us to come in "we'll take care of you". Sure, have heard this all before, but NEVER been taken care of like this before. DREADING the cold weather and looking at Jeeps. We go inside, Kevin Johnson "KJ" says tells me what you want, what features, colors, etc.. He sits and just listens, says nothing... He leaves us and 15 minutes later he comes back and tells us to follow him. We see the color and make we wanted, he tells us to get in, it's all ready heated up, seats blazing, PERFECT! He jumps in the back and asks us what we think. It's everything we wanted (except the technology package), but ask what other colors do they have. He says "try the next one". HUH??? He had lined up 3 Jeeps with all the criteria we asked for and 1 with a few other things (just incase we weren't aware of their new technology). We literally opened the door, took two steps, and was at the next Jeep that was running and waiting for us. (heated and running). I don't know about you, but this spoke volumes about caring about making car shopping as comfortable as possible. We really wanted the technology package (after sitting in the Jeep with 'more'), but they didn't have the color we wanted. We went inside and KJ did everything but build the Jeep himself. He called dealers instate, trucks in transit, out of state, production, etc... He NEVER ONCE tried to 'talk us into' a car. He listened to what we wanted and what price. He never tried to get us to go outside that price, he let US do it on our own. This was just one example of the many things that were done for us, but a dealership cannot run on one person alone. When KJ was doing something for us, someone else would pop up and make sure we were happy, if everything was taken care of. While we were waiting to finalize our purchase the owner walked in. He took a few minutes to sit down and talk with us. The receptionist, the other salesmen, the entire atmosphere was not a dog eat dog world, it was a friendly/family environment...They were having WAY TOO much fun.... VERY uncommon in today's dog eat dog world. When we wanted the car with the upgraded technology in red, Southern did not have it. The only dealership in a 250 mile radius was up on the blvd. We told KJ we had to get that exact car, told him sorry.... ****The day after**** (when we realized the ONLY dealership that had the exact car we wanted ON property was this dealership. I had called KJ and thanked him for his time and all his work. We told the salesman what we wanted, but he kept telling us he couldn't budge on the price, wouldn't honor the trade in value, all the things they wouldn't budge on... We had brought our son with us to show him how the car buying process works. This whole time we felt as though we were begging for this car. We only interacted with one person until we got very upset about the price breakdown (that wasn't itemized). We sat for over an hour without a single person checking on us, asking if we needed a drink, nothing.... when he finally came back after an hour with a trade in value that was even $2,500 BELOW CarMax, my husband and I looked at each other, stood up, and walked out. The coldness and lack of friendly environment was unreal. I could NOT give my business to a place that could care less about me or what I wanted. I immediately called KJ and told him I would take the car with less, rather then buy a car (that had everything) from a business who could care less about me. I will say this. The salesman was not rude, but it was clear there wasn't a team environment or a friendly environment. I don't know how many young ladies walked by without even acknowledging us. HUGE difference if you want to feel valued. Here is where your dollar speaks volumes: By the way, I could have had the Jeep I wanted if I wanted to wait for one to be made and sent to the dealer (they were willing to do this for me) I did not want to wait :) PS: I LOVE MY 2014 Jeep Cherokee Unlimited - RED! I was recommend to Kevin Jones by a co-worker and good friend. Mr. Jones work tirelessly to find the car that I was looking for with all specs that I wanted. Carolyn Fite gave my son and I exceptional service with purchasing our vehicle. The following day after purchasing my 2014 Jeep Compass, I informed Carolyn that the paint had defects. Carolyn responded p purchasing our vehicle. The following day after purchasing my 2014 Jeep Compass, I informed Carolyn that the paint had defects. Carolyn responded promptly to resolve the problem. She kept me informed throughout the entire process and assisted in providing me with a loaner vehicle similar to what I purchased.
