He made me do it I have to admit I heard some not-so-great things about South County Lexus so visited two other dealerships first. Tried to make a deal at one which af I have to admit I heard some not-so-great things about South County Lexus so visited two other dealerships first. Tried to make a deal at one which after 2 hours fell through. But thank goodness because I got a far better deal at South County Lexus. The next day on a whim told the wife "let's just swing by SCL and see what they have". They didn't have a CPO ES300h which was what I was looking for. But Matt said why don't I look at the new ones. I told him I was not interested in buying new, the price was more than I wanted to spend. But after spending about an hour with him, looking and test driving some cars we cut a deal for a new ES300h for just $3000 more than we intended to spend for a used one. Matt was great, persuasive, but not high pressure, more enthusiastic about the product. Bottom line, I felt good about the vehicle I got and the price was right. I even felt good that Matt got a sale. Now that's what a call a good deal for everyone. More

This put me more at ease since what he said made sense. Although I don't know what profit margin the dealership wanted I thought I got a nice vehicle for the price.
