All great...until the real problems begin. As the title states, all is great until the real trouble begins. You know the overpriced oil changes, regular service, the constant recalls...yes tho As the title states, all is great until the real trouble begins. You know the overpriced oil changes, regular service, the constant recalls...yes those are done fine. Until something gets missed, something that potentially later may cost you thousands of dollars in repairs, then they will just start giving you reasons why things are not their fault, and will try to get rid of you ASAP. I think many now know of the engine misfire issues many of Lexus cars are having. If you're lucky enough to catch this while the engine warranty has not expired, then you're lucky. If not, then get ready to spend a small fortune for repairs. This is nothing new for Lexus it appears, just google 'engine misfire'. My problem with the dealer is that I have received a lot of misinformation on this problem. From the info on the term of the extended warranty, which would have allowed me to have this service done free of charge, to the misinformation about the engine cleaning service, to increasing service cost on me when I needed additional service to address the issue. Just inexcusable. The sales department is fine for the most part, but the service department, only great with the simple stuff. In the end I went to a local mechanic. More
