They did not even respond to my Better Business Bureau complaint, but I noticed they DID respond to others. That should tell you something. February 8, 2015 I purchased a used Black Chrysler 300 SRT from this dealership’s used car department. So naturally, my temporary 30-day tag from this dealership expired on March 8, 2015. They did not file the paperwork with my state’s tag office until March 11, 2015 (I have an email from general manager/owner stating this). So as you can see it was not even filed until AFTER my 30-day temp tag expired. There could be many reasons why this happened. We were lied to TWICE by this dealership telling us it was filed (once by a title clerk to my assistant, and another time directly to me by the Finance Manager). Based on multiple conversations between my assistant speaking to General Manager, the Title/Financial Person, the former General Manager, two of the Sales Managers, and the Finance Manager, South Charlotte Hyundai basically sold me a used car they did not have clean/clear/correct title on. What makes it worse is I purchased a car owned by one of the Sales Managers. So it’s rather disturbing that this person apparently knowingly let this transaction happen on February 8, 2015….knowing no valid title was presently in their possession. I find out all of this after the sale, and after multiple conversations with the people I named above talking to my assistant, plus an email chain the Title/Financial Person sent my assistant with all of their dealership’s discussion on this issue. Long story short this email chain says they never filed my titlework/tagwork with my state before my temporary tag expired. Fast forward 10 days, my state’s tag office (GA) informs me this dealership incorrectly filed the paperwork they did on March 11 2015, DUE TO A MISSING TITLE DOCUMENT, and this dealership will now have to re-file the tag application again (as of March 27, 2015). So following this chronology, this dealership put me in a bad legal situation since March 8, 2015. I was then making car payments on a car I cannot legally drive….because of this dealership’s negligence the past 7 weeks. As of March 29, 2015 and this dealership still had NOT filed the proper paperwork with my state’s tag office. After being ignored by the general manager and the title/financial person the past 10 days (we have the email trail to prove it), the person who was "currently in charge for the general manager" was contacted by my assistant on 4/7/2015. We were told the title/financial person (same person mentioned in complaint) would be calling us today with an update. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. My assistant called the dealership back TWO MORE TIMES to finally get the 4/7/15 update from the person who is "currently in charge for the general manager". Dealership says they have re-filed my title/tag work with my state (GA) as of 4/6/15. They re-filed apparently yesterday 4/6/15, which still has put me out of legally driving the car since 3/8/15. WE ARE NOW PUSHING INTO APRIL 2015 AND I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE on 2/8/15. We continued to get the run-around, and continued to have to call the dealership to get updates. They have caused me this hardship, WHY ARE THEY NOT CONTACTING ME/US AND UPDATING ME/US??? Tag received April 17, 2015 (10 weeks later). This has been the worst experience I have had with a dealership on purchasing a vehicle (and still ongoing unfortunately). Take your money elsewhere. More
