Service and Communication are terrible. On Memorial Day weekend my wife and I came in and ultimately purchased a pre-owned Sonata. Long story short, there was a chip on the windshield they g On Memorial Day weekend my wife and I came in and ultimately purchased a pre-owned Sonata. Long story short, there was a chip on the windshield they gave us a "We Owe" for stating they would take care of the chip. This is when I began regretting giving them my business. We were told that we could come on a certain day and they would take care of that chip/crack in the windshield. We arrived, were seated in the waiting room, then were informed that they had recently fired the crew that did that work and the new crew had not gotten set up to do the work yet. Then we were told they would do the work on Fridays since that's when the crew would be there. This frustrated me since they knew we were coming and have my contact information and we drove there from Waxhaw, but I accepted their apology and went on our way to the beach. I then started email communication to schedule the next appointment. I took a day off work (on a Friday) set up a time to go and even called beforehand and was told the guys were there to do the work. I drive all the way there, have a seat in the waiting room...then was informed the son of the guy who does the windshields was there but he doesn't do that work, only his dad does. They did some inspection (which I had not been informed was needed) and as given the card for the guy who does the windshield and was basically told to take it up with him. This bothered me. I did not purchase my car from this guy, he is not the one who said he'd take care of the chip with the we-owe. I was told that he would be able to come to me, which eased my frustrations because I assumed he could come to my home or work keeping me from having to run around. I went with it (like a sucker) and got home and called the guy who said he would have one of his guys contact me to schedule an appointment. A few days passed with no call so I contacted him again, finally I got his guy to contact me. I was informed that they only do their work at dealerships but they could meet me at one closer to me that they do work at. The problem is, there are no dealerships they work at which are close to my home or work. We went back and forth with what days he worked at what dealerships and ultimately set up a time to meet at another dealership, still 30+ minutes away. The day before we are to meet the guy sends a text informing me that something had come up and he could not do the work that day. We then rescheduled which he then cancelled the morning of because of rain (it had rained but the rain in the area had passed, it was overcast) but I understood. Then my work schedule and life (expecting a baby) kept me too busy and I could not take off any more days for nothing. When I did have days off and try to contact him I got nothing until finally he informed me he no longer worked in the area but would have someone else call me. That call never came. I went back to contacting SC Hyundai who, again after having to send multiple emails, finally A.M. Stephens called and set me up with an appointment in Monroe (about 20-30 minutes away). The day came but it was actively raining, and knowing the issue from a previous appointment I tried contacting A.M. via phone and left a voice mail asking if the weather was going to affect the appointment. I was not given contact information for the guy actually meeting me to do the work. A.M. never called back (now a week later, still nothing), I also sent Ray (who was our initial contact at the dealership) an email on the same day which was never responded to. I was not going to drive there at the risk of not getting the work done. I was pleased with the buying experience. Enough so that I had already told others to check them out. Ultimately the service and communication are what made me very unhappy with the dealership and has prompted me to tell all those I recommended to look elsewhere. More

This is the type of dealership I enjoy buying a car from south Charlotte Hyundai is a very professional organization and do not use high pressure sales techniques. I just hate all the paperwork which goes along with purchasing a new vehicle. More
