After they “thoroughly” inspected my car they explain that my issue is the ECS module - $2,700 parts and labor. I dropped the car off to have the service done and literally that day when I drove it home I was still experiencing the same issue. I called Hyundai back and they decided to get me a loaner car for a few days and they would test drive my car frequently to see what the issue is. When I first got the loaner, I called checking on my car every few days to get an update and they couldn’t replicate the issue I was experiencing. I explained that they need to drive the car about 30-45 miles because that is when I experience the issue. I don’t think they ever did because I experience the issue daily and I don’t understand how they weren’t able to. Fast forward two months, I still have a loaner. They tell me I need to trade in the loaner car before I get to 3,000 miles. When I called to schedule a time for me to stop off the loaner car, they had no record of my Santa Fe being on their lot. They said they would call me back, a few hours later I get a call that someone threw away my paper work while another employee was off because they didn’t see my car sitting in the back of the parking lot. Probably where it has set from when I dropped it off several months ago. Once I drop off the loaner I speak with my contact in the service department and he suggested that I should go drive with the service manger to see if we can duplicate the issue. I wasn’t able to spend an hour driving around because I had to go back to work so we drove for about 20 minutes and while I am in the car with the service manager he proceeds to say “well he (service dept contact) suggested that I (service mgr) drive around with you to see how you drive”. I said, “I thought he wanted me to drive with you to see if we could duplicate the issue”? He said “No, I’m pretty sure it was to make sure that you weren’t using your left foot to press the gas while you use your right foot to break, you won’t believe how many times we ride with a customer and the reason why their car is messed up is because of how they drive”. I felt that was unappropriated however. After we are driving for about 10 minutes and going over a highway overpass my car was somewhat shaking and he is like “oh your front end is really messed up”. I didn’t say anything at the time but isn’t that why I brought my car to you all for a thorough inspection on my car a few months ago? To find out what is wrong with my car? After we drove for 20 minutes and we are heading back to the dealership he says to me twice – “you don’t act like how you look”. I felt that was extremely inappropriate. Mind you, I am a 30-year-old woman dressed in professional attire – what is that supposed to mean? After driving my car for a week, the SAME issue is happening daily. Not to mention 4 days after I received my car back I start experiencing a NEW issue. My car was making crazy sounds every time I would turn my car, accelerate or brake. After having my husband look at my car, my brakes and rotors are shot. I just purchased brand new brakes and rotors 8 months ago for $700 from a brake shop. My previous brakes lasted for 7 years before I had to get new ones. Why are my brakes now messed up after Hyundai had my car? It may be coincidence, but I find it very odd. After dealing with this for 3 months I am done. My Hyundai is 12 years old with 118k miles. I have decided that I am going to purchase a new car – not from South Charlotte Hyundai and not a Hyundai car period. I am down $2,700 and my car is still not fixed. If the service dept didn’t think they could fix my car or didn’t think the part would fix the issue with my car, I wish they would have told me from the beginning and perhaps I would’ve just bought a new car instead of wasting time and most importantly my money. Misleading Dealership, don't buy cars here. South Charlotte Hyundai Review I was sold a 2012 BMW 528i from this dealership. Initially when I found the car, it was through cargurus.com. At the South Charlotte Hyundai Review I was sold a 2012 BMW 528i from this dealership. Initially when I found the car, it was through cargurus.com. At the time that I went to look at the car I was impressed with the color and overall shape of the vehicle and went for a test drive. After going for the test drive I noticed the milage of the car (about 94000 miles) and asked for the service records to see how well the car had been maintained. I was not given carfax report, I had to ask for it. After reviewing it, I noticed a few discrepancies in the report with vague repair notes. One note of interest was "Engine Service". When I asked the salesperson if the timing chain had been replaced I was told that’s probably what “Engine Service” stood for. Another note of interest was that the rear brakes had been replaced. The problem with this note is that the car's computer was still reading that the rear brakes would need to be replaced in a few months. I requested more information about that and didn't get it until after I purchased the car. Turns out, the engine mounts were replaced. I asked about the price of the car hoping to make a deal and was told that the price I saw online was lower than what it was supposed to be sold for. I saw the car online for $13,800 and I was told in person that the price was $14,500. We agreed at $13,000. After the purchase I was given additional maintenance documents and saw that the previous owner took pretty good care of the car. Three weeks later, the engine failed in a mall parking lot. I had the car towed to a repair shop near by and found out that the engine was not retaining compression and would not operate. So I was stuck a bill for a new engine. I called the dealership 3 times about the issue in terms of giving me some assistance since I hadn't had the car for a week and the best I was told they could do by the repair shop manager was $5600 for a used engine with over 80,000 miles on it and a 6 month warranty. Also, I was told that the Hyundai shop would not be able to reset the computer and that I would be responsible for that or any other warning lights that came on after the repair. I spoke with the repair shop manager at the repair shop that I had the car towed to and he gave me an estimate for an engine with 16,000 miles and a year warranty on parts and labor for $5400. I went with that offer and the car is back on the road. To this day, South Charlotte Hyundai has not offered any other assistance with the vehicle and I have learned never to buy a car at this dealership ever again. More

And I verified the spot where I park my car and there was no sign of fluid on the floor. I ended up towing the car to my mechanics .I am an ethical person and I never imagined someone lying one me like that.I would never recommend any body to taking the car to this place. They are not honest and not ethical at all and I later understood all the calls earlier trying to convince me to finance a car from their dealership.
