I took my older model Hyundai Accent in for repair last week on a rainy day and Dylan greeted me immediately. He carefully explained the next steps needed to complete my request. I was very impressed by the updates and personal service I received. I wish the service departments of other brands I drive were as helpful and responsive as Dylan and South Bay Hyundai! Just as important as sales department, Service Dept. is a key factor when buying a car. I will certainly choose this dealership when it comes time for a new car purchase. More

Everything went smoothly, work was done within the cost estimate, people were pleasant. I arrived at the dealership at my appointment time and noticed that they seem to be doing a huge construction job on the property. I wondered if they were actually open for service. I made an appointment noticed that they seem to be doing a huge construction job on the property. I wondered if they were actually open for service. I made an appointment to get my 30,000 mile service and it just so happened that my check engine light came on so I also wanted that to be checked. After waiting 15 mins for someone to assist me, they told me that it would take a bit of time and offered me a Lyft home. I decided to wait at the dealership so I wouldn’t have to come back to get my car. I walked down the street to wait. After waiting 5 hours I walked back as there had been no update about my car. I noticed when I got back to the dealership that my car was parked in a parking spot off to the side. I proceed to wait another hour for them to give me an update. During the time I was waiting I noticed someone moved my car from where I saw it parked. They told me my check engine light was on due to an old code and they were just going to erase the code and take my car for a test drive. After they gave my car back they told me I didn’t owe them any money which I thought was strange. That was until I realized that they hadn’t done any of my 30,000 mile maintenance and wrote that I was due for that during my next service appointment. So I waited a total of about 6.5 hours for them to erase a code, update my system, and take my car on a quick test drive? So now I’m going to have to take my car back for the 30,000 mile service when I specifically made the appointment to have it done. Complete waste of my day. Won’t be coming back for a while, hopefully after they finish construction. The entire dealership seems to be a mess currently. More
