Visiting SBH for routine maintenance on my 2023 Santa Cruz and my 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan, I was pleasantly surprised to find the construction finally finished! The "new" waiting room and sales area is "state of the art", with comfortable seating, television viewing and refreshments. I was so glad to finally find a place to relax and work on my computer, as there were desks with a place to plug in that were connected to outlets in the floor. As far as the customer service and vehicle service I received, the mechanics, along with my Service Manager, Jack Kim, continue to give me 5 STAR, triple AAA service! Most people dread having to take their vehicle in for service; Jack Kim always makes it a pleasurable experience! If you have a Hyundai, I highly recommend you take it to be serviced at SBH! But don't ask for Jack, I want him all to myself! LOL! More
I’m from out of town, and was visiting for my family’s celebration of life for my mom who passed suddenly in April. The service team helped get my mom’s car up and running again and made sure it’s working celebration of life for my mom who passed suddenly in April. I appreciate the warmth, empathy, and customer service I received from Jack and everyone else I encountered at South Bay Hyundai. Being put in a shuttle back to my sister’s home was an especially nice touch that I was not expecting. It was great to get back home easily so that I could focus on spending time with family. More
They took 3 visits to fix my A/C. I went in for warranties, A/C check and a rattle. A/C compressor was covered by warranty (yeah) but had problems with scheduling repair; it took 2 mo I went in for warranties, A/C check and a rattle. Everything was okay until the return of the vehicle. It look about 45 minutes for them to find the car in the lot and deliver it. I received several emails saying that I needed a recall service and ordered an oil change to receive this service, but after I left the car, I waited for 2 hours, and I asked after 2 hours, and they said i service and ordered an oil change to receive this service, but after I left the car, I waited for 2 hours, and I asked after 2 hours, and they said it would take another 2 hours, so I couldn't wait any longer. I asked to cancel it, and they replied that they would check it, and they said that the service was already completed 5 minutes later. What's more absurd is that they say that my car has already completed the recall service before and I didn't need the recall service. This is a scam. More

There was not one single follow-up call the entire month. You had my car from Jack. The only time I ever received a call from him was when he was returning my call. He told me it would take a week and a half You had my car from Jack. The only time I ever received a call from him was when he was returning my call. He told me it would take a week and a half to get my car back and it took a month. The day The car was done. He told me I could pick it up after 10 AM and it would be washed and cleaned and ready to go. I showed up at noon and the car had not been cleaned or washed. Extremely disappointed. All of this occurred after the magically disappeared from my car and Ruined my Engine. I had been changing my oil every 3000 miles as directed by Hyundai, And it only changed my Oil at Hyundai dealerships. There was no explanation as to how this could’ve occurred. Luckily, my car was still under warranty. I will never buy another Hyundai again. this is the second time I’ve had a mechanical failure from Hyundai, regardless of my pristine routine maintenance More
No communication. Calling the service department multiple times of schedule the paint job when I was told they would call me on a Monday. Didn’t hear back from then until Wednesday. When calling the service department apparently the only people who was aloud to speak to me was the original person who checked me in and completed my service. So everytime I called service to ask questions they always had to go and find my original technician putting me on hold for 30 mins at a time. I was told my car would be done on a Friday for the converter repair and no one called me to let me know it was either done or not. Someone finally called on a Monday asking me when I was going to pick up my car and I explained no one called to let me know it was done. Overall they just need to communicate with the customer. I shouldn’t have to be tracking down the service technician for everything and constant checking on progress of parts and services. More
