It seems to me that the entire service staff has changed and is inexperienced. The secretaries weren’t very helpful, communication between the staff and customer was poor and the mechanics I met seemed just and is inexperienced. I bought my vehicle from Smithtown Volkswagen and they have serviced my Passat ever since. This time I brought it in for the 40 thousand mile service, which includes the minor, standard, and extended serv have serviced my Passat ever since. Even though there are two VW dealers very close to me in Brooklyn, I drive the approximate 50 miles each way to Smithtown Volkswagen for my service because of the professional way I am treated by the staff. I drive the approximate 100 miles back and forth because their customer service is far and beyond what I have experienced with any other car dealer. I was able to schedule my service visit easily, and I received a text and email confirmation as well as a reminder. Once I arrived my service advisor Noah took the time to understand my vehicle and write up what needed to be performed at this visit. Additionally, during my visit, the mechanic Evan who was working on my car came out and explained clearly what was being done to my vehicle and his professionalism and expert knowledge gave me the added assurance that everything was done correctly. The dealership is under new ownership, but the new owners and management of Smithtown Volkswagen should be made aware of the expert and professional way I was treated by their employees and their employees should be noticed for a job well done. While there, my salesman from years ago, Adam, greeted me and he went out of his way to inquire if everything is Ok. Adam informed me on what's new and available on the showroom floor, and even though he knew I was not ready to purchase a new vehicle, I appreciated the time he took to show me what was new and to explain finance options available. Once again, the fact I drive all those extra miles is because I trust my vehicle and mine and my family's safety to Smithtown Volkswagen, and that simple fact says more than anything I can write. More
