If You Are Interested In a VW, This Is The Place To Get It! I have bought 3 cars in the 11 years I've been driving and this was the only good experience I have ever had. I have never worked with anyone at a dealership where they reference anything off a website, much less pricing, but Smithtown VW will reference it as you figuring out what you are looking for. They usually are quick to cut you off and tell you that it is only an advertisement or there are no more cars for that specific ad. Sal Damico was hands down the best salesperson I've ever dealt with, especially with auto sales. He was quick, thorough, detailed, knew every step of the process and made this an enjoyable experience. With only having 3 days to find a car, after dealing with everything that comes along with when a car gets totaled, Sal made this a seamless transition. Sal was never pushy, did not try upselling me, he started off with pricing and found out what I was comfortable with. Usually sales reps want to show you cars first and then work you over until you agree to pay an astronomical amount for a vehicle. The finance officer, Ivy, was just as great once I got down to paperwork, she was so great from going over my options to helping me make the right decision with leasing the car. Usually, the finance officers try to sell you everything you don't need, do the shortest terms for the most amount of money and run your credit through every bank on the eastern seaboard. They are generally condescending and lie through their teeth. Ivy was the polar opposite of any finance officer I have dealt with in the past. She was extremely transparent and just like Sal, was actually interested in helping me make the right decision. I could not have been happier with my experience and I will definitely be purchasing or leasing VW's going forward and it will be through Sal & Ivy at Smithtown VW. More
