In the world of buying cars and just gerneally if in a world of "poor service" Scott Preston was a breath of fresh air. When buying cars in the past I've dreaded the length of time I sit at the dealership. This was a speedy process that was infomrative and pleasant from start to finish. Scott Preston and his collegues should be commended for a job well done and an atmosphere not typical of a car dealership! Hence, I've given the dealership all "fives" in my rating. My parents also bought a car from Scott Preston and they were certainly right to insist I go see him! More

Rushed to get the car out the door only 2 hours after the sale was made . It was dirty and the so-called certification was no more than an oil change and an exterior car wash. The vehicle was left on empty with the gas light on. He gave a voucher to me when it was in for service to correct the other issues and told me to go fill it up. A good salesman would have had it done for the customer. The inside was filthy and the mats were disgusting. He promised new mats but of course when it came time to get them, he said he would take them out of another used one that came in. Typical used car sales b.s. I had to take it back twice to get it detailed and scratches fixed. After they take your money, you are a pest to them. My BMW service experience was so much better. I now know why people pay more for a car like that, they treat you like a customer. The car came with wheel locks...but no key...awesome! **UPDATE** 09/24/2010 Brian Smith called from used car sales to talk to me about my concerns. He apologized and expained that this is unacceptable customer relations. He promised to order the mats for me and give me a few oil changes too. All I wanted was a clean vehicle with gas in it, with the keys to the wheel locks and the mats that I was promised in the deal. I am not looking for anything for free, just what was agreed upon. I understand that the salesman wants to sell as many cars as he can but in my opinion, that is no way to treat a customer who paid almost 24,000 dollars for a car. I will change my review when the mats are delivered because I understand that all salesman do not relfect this dishonest one. **Update** 9/27/2010.. Mats were delivered as promised...wheel locks given...car detailed...and a few oil changes to make nice nice. I met Brian and he apologized...my salesman Timeo didn't even look at me when he saw me. So in the end I am happy with my car so far..the service department is run well and the used car manager has made a bad buying experience better. I can't make one bad salesman represent the entire dealership. I never should have took delivery of the car until it really ready to go out the door. Lesson learned. More
Working with Brian was a pleasure.The staff is friendly and not high pressure. My wife wanted a Yukon Denali not more than two years old. After describing what color and options we wanted Brian was able to find the exact vehicle. We purchased a 2009 Yukon Denali with only 17,000 miles. This Yukon is in "like new" condition, my wife is thrilled! This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Smithtown Toyota. Not only did I find Mr. Liardi and the staff at Smithtown Toyota friendly, but also extremely helpful and fair in offering me a good deal under the circunstances. Without doubt, I will seriously consider making Smithtown Toyota my dealership for any future leasing or purchasing of vehicles which I might entertain. All in all, my experience with Mr. Liardi and this dealership was helpful and hassle-free; I am very pleased with the new lease which I secured, as well as with the new Toyota Camry which I drove home in - all of this accomplished within a very reasonable period of time. I stopped in to Smithtown Toyota to test drive the 2010 Prius on Weds and was driving home with it by Friday! My salesman Ben Zimmet was super knowledgeable of the Prius and walked me through everything I needed to know before we took it for a test drive. Dealing with Smithtown Toyota was a positive refreshing experience that I am happy to share with any readers. Most of us have walked away from rude high pressure sales tacticts from typical card ealerships experience that I am happy to share with any readers. Most of us have walked away from rude high pressure sales tacticts from typical card ealerships that try bait and switch or good guy bad guy salesman/salesmanger tacticts. "What does it take to close the deal today....., come back when you are really ready to buy the car.....,maybe my salesmanger can make you a deal......etc. Smithtown Toyota offered a polite and informative sales process that wellcomed my numerous questions, visits and test drives with my wife. My salesman Louis Bilous had the patience of a saint. He answered all our questions, gave his advice only when asked to, and made suggestions that made sense, usually from personal experiences. When it came down to pricing and matching a competitors offer he consultated with his sales manager Guy Albergo that provided a competitive match without the typical high pressure games typical in this sales tranaction. Mr. Albergo supported his salesman and represented the dealership in a very positive way. we closed the deal. More
