I needed a bigger car and had a trade in but not much money to spend so I went to the last 18 years now and this is by far the best experience ever. Mr. Milano demonstrated complete knowledge of the Toyota line of cars and provided detaill answers to our questions. He was very relaxed and willing to show us various options that would be suitable for what we could afford. He was thorough throughout the process and there were no hiccups and everything went smoothly. Great salesperson and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. More
In over 40 years of car purchasing, this was absolutely the finest experience of my life.The professionalism in which the people I worked with executed every aspect of this sale was most impressive. With respect to the five points iterated above, my comments are as follows: 1. Customer Service - from the first contact with these folks I felt like I was the most important customer they ever had. 2. Quality of Work - every aspect and detail of this purchase was handled with extreme competence. 3. Friendliness - everyone I met during this experience was warm and cordial, from the general manager, the new car manager, the used car manager, the sales people and the receptionist. When I say the sales people, I mean all the sales people at the dealership, not just the gentleman that sold my vehicle to me. 4. Overall Experience - I have never had a more satisfying experience in purchasing a vehicle. There was absolutely no stress, haggling, negotiating ad infinitum involved in this process. This dealer, everyone involved,made this a very pleasureable exercise. The way these people present a car deal just proves that buying a new car does not have to be a marathon where the buyer is ultimately worn out. I applaud Smithtown Toyota and would recommend them to everyone I know who is in the market for a Toyota. 5. Price - Obviously, price was a prime component in my considering this dealer. I feel Guy put his best foot forward from the onset, I felt like I was being treated fairly and that was all I wanted. More

Crooked! We negotiated the installation of a DVD player in the car I was purchasing. The next morning I discovered the DVD player was USED. They did not even deny it. They said "we never agreed the DVD in the car I was purchasing. The next morning I discovered the DVD player was USED. They did not even deny it. They said "we never agreed the DVD player would be new". I also explicitly asked the salesman, Rich, if the DVD would be covered under warranty (assuming it was new) and his answer was clearly "yes". Of course, they did not cover the DVD player under warranty. The car I purchased was supposed to be 'certified', however it had huge mechanical defects. The car obviously never even underwent an inspection. I will say, with a lot of prompting and negotiation, the DID deal with the mechanical issues. However, they basically told me on the DVD aspect, "be happy we did so much for you". These guys are sleazy. Stay away. More
My initial intention in going to Smithtown Toyota was to price a new Avalon then visit other dealerships for a comparison. I knew what my price should be and I knew what I wanted in the vehicle. I found the salesman, Louis Bilous, to be extremely knowledgable, courteous and professional. He was able to show me a vehicle that had the features I wanted at a price that I felt comfortable with. More importantly, at no time did I feel that I was being pressured into a purchase. Everything was up front and straight forward. He has changed my view of car salesmen, for the better. My car was spotless upon delivery and Louis went over it in intricate detail for my wife and I. I must say that in the past I have equated buying a new car with a trip to the dentist for a root canal. I drove away from Smithtown Toyota, in a shiney new Avalon, feeling like a million bucks.
