As a person with less then stellar credit I never thought i could be approved for a new car. But Gerard in sales made it his mission to put my family in a safe reliable car for the first time ever honestly. We were shocked we were approved and havent stopped smiling since. If that was not reason enough for you to pay them a visit. 4 months after getting the new car we found out kid #2 is coming. So we needed a car big enough for 2 kids a dog and all the junk that comes along. Since Gerard was so helpfull last time not only with the car but also planning iur futur and helping us with finances we figured lets go talk to him and get some advice. All i can say is once again the entire staff amazed us. They were able to get us into a 2 year old van while still having the original new car loan and still less then stellar credit ( ill let Gerard and Rosa fight over whos gold star that is). We got some much needed advice reassurance the right can for us all with no pressure at all and a constant reminder that if were not comfortable or ok that we can wait its no rush. I can honestly say that Rosa Gerard Joe and everyone else there are like family. The entire environment is warm loving and pressure free. Ive never herd a dealer say thats not gonna be right for you (unless its and upsell) but these guys would not let me buy a smaller suv juat cuz i needed something for a family. And they worked very hard to get us in the van. I feel a true connection with them and am happiky a customer for life if they need anything from us i hope they know they can call anytime. It is the only dealership that wont laugh at you for a credit score less then 550 intead theyll say ok we want to help heres what you can do to improve your score and what we can do to help you. After extensive research it turned out to be the best value for the money. My car buying experience with Michael Halliday was extremely pleasant. The transaction was straightforward and I felt I got a good deal. Gerard in the finance department gets a very poor review. He is unpleasant, condescending, abrupt, and when confronted with Gerard in the finance department gets a very poor review. He is unpleasant, condescending, abrupt, and when confronted with information that is contrary to what he has told you he become somewhat aggressive and impolite. I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership until he is no longer employed there. More

I initially called in response to an ad you had on the web for a '15 Sorento and was greeted professionally by Marcus. After checking the vehicles availability he invited me to come in and assured me that he could get me into that car or any one of many he had available. You should know that I was at one of your competitors earlier that day looking at a comparable auto but because I suspected that they were MUCH less than honorable or professional I made no purchase there. After meeting with Marcus later that evening and witnessing his confidence in not only the integrity of your dealership but also in the quality of the Kia product I decided to buy with out hesitation. With that being said it ends up that the dealership that I was at earlier that day was in fact not any form of competition for what I had experienced at Smithtown Kia. Then came Rosa. She is a little powerhouse of knowledge who is absolutely fluent and confident in her position. Between Marcus getting me into the exact vehicle I was looking for and then some and Rosa getting my payments exactly where I needed them to be it seemed like two blinks and two handshakes and I was on my way home that night in my new dream car. They are both a tremendous asset to your company. I thank you , Marcus,Rosa and Smithtown Kia for a wonderful experience. I am currently trying to influence my Daughter and Son in Law in a Sedona. We looked at the car we wanted and were talking options with our salesman when over the PA a page came over "all salesmen see Lenny!" Up until this time everyone seemed very nice. Our salesman kindly excused himself and with the others went to a back office. From behind the now closed office door we heard yelling and profanity like never before! We got so uncomfortable and concerned of this man that when our salesman came back out we said thank you and felt the need to leave as this is not the experience we were expecting. The salesman told us Lenny is the owner and just having a bad day he guesses. I can just imagine the stress the employees must feel with him yelling like that as we did. I'm believe this wasn't just a bad day but his inexcusable attitude towards people. We felt sorry our salesman couldn't get his sale but refuse to give our money to an owner like that! We have since purchased at another dealership with no intention of ever returning to Smithtown KIA. More

Lenny, the manager, and I connected very quickly as he raises guide dogs for special needs families and I myself have a special needs family. Anyone who can raise an animal knowing that they are not going to keep it and have it go to a special needs family deserves my business. Adam (the salesman) was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. Even with a hurt foot, it didn't stop him from giving me the best service he could. Greg did everything he could to make sure I got the exact car I wanted (I was very specific in my requests). I highly recommend this dealership for many reasons. Thank you so much Smithtown Kia. He was extremely helpful in helping me choose the right car. I wanted a specific color that was very hard to find. The vehicle itself was hard to find but Gerard promised me he would get me into the car I wanted and he did. The car itself is beautiful and I'm glad I went with it. I had gone to other dealerships like ford, where I had to strip a vehicle down of most of its features just to make It affordable but it would have not b been what I wanted. The sportage SX had everything I could want for a great price. And after all the waiting and waiting to find the right one smithtown Kia definitely made it right. One of the things I liked about the experience was Gerard showed us just enough, and made me feel good about the car while ALSO allowing the car to sell itself. He never shoved it down my throat or called me every single day like the other dealers which is a huge turn off so thank you! Overall great experience. More
When the going gets tough the tough get going I recently Leased a 2016 Kia Soul. To be honest my credit sucks. The folks at Kia of Smithtown did everything in their power to get me approved. At one point the Lovely Lady from finance (Rosa) was on the phone for over an hour with one company working on getting me approved. At no time did i feel less of a person because of my past credit history. I left there with my head held high because of the high sense of compassion and integrity I was treated with. Ask for Adam Hernandez really good guy !!! More

Good guy, we discussed cars, pros and cons of everything, got around to prices,and things were cool. No pressure involved, felt everything was straight up. There was actually a problem, in that the car was actually listed lower than it should have been, but the manager said it was their mistake, and they honored the price. Also very cool. I bring my Sedona there for service as well, and the service dept. is very good. All in all, a nice experience. More
