Buying a Kia. I had always been a loyal GM customer, but some recent events and issues have put my loyalty into serious question. I'm a big fan of Consumer Reports magazine, and my research into a reliable, safe, nice looking, and affordable sedan led me to Kia. I met Gerard Rennie at Smithtown Kia, where he welcomed me and offered me a cup of coffee before any "car talk" began. He listened carefully to what I was interested in, located a vehicle that fit my needs and off we went on a test drive. At no time did he try to oversell me on something I did not need. I had researched prices, and I truly believe I got a good deal here. Gerard always treated me with dignity and respect, and made what many consider to be an unpleasant experience, into a decent one. Even though there are many tutorials online regarding the operation of the various electronic devices in my car, Gerard offered me an open door invitation to help me with anything I may not fully understand.
