Highly recommend the Smithtown dealership, they made it really easy with NO pressure tactics. Also Rosa from finance was very friendly, made that experience very positive too. She got me in and out quickly which I appreciated. Thanks Rosa. I ended up getting a Cadenza with the Technology package. Gerard Rennie I had the pleasure of dealing with Gerard Rennie and the staff at Smithton Kia on the lease of a 2019 Kia Optima SX. This is the third car leased from I had the pleasure of dealing with Gerard Rennie and the staff at Smithton Kia on the lease of a 2019 Kia Optima SX. This is the third car leased from Smithtown Kia, and the second time I have dealt with Gerard.. He is great to deal with. No pressure tactics used, and definitely understands his customers needs and financial concerns. I have also had my cars serviced at this dealership, and that is always a positive experience. So , if your looking to buy or lease a Kia, it would definitely benefit you to go to Smithtown Kia and ask for Gerard Rennie. He will be 100% straight with you, and you will walk out happy and satisfied. The entire dealership is a pleasure to work with. More
Mixed Feelings with this dealership First off, I would like to say that I did purchase a new Kia Soul EV from Smithtown Kia and I got a good deal. I am an out of state buyer purchasing First off, I would like to say that I did purchase a new Kia Soul EV from Smithtown Kia and I got a good deal. I am an out of state buyer purchasing a car off the internet. It appears that in person customers get fantastic service. But I am reviewing on my experience dealing with this dealership. It took about two weeks to finally get this deal done. First they wanted a deposit and I would not give them one without seeing all the numbers in writing. Then they agreed to forgo the deposit and I submitted a credit app with Kia that was approved. After much delay (I was told they were short-handed that week), I finally got the numbers. The paperwork was done and the car was ready for pickup on the 21st. On the 20th, I got a call from a guy that said he was in the insurance department at the dealership. He attempted to call my insurance company and pretend to be me. My insurance told me this after he failed to give them my correct birthdate. So he could not get the information from them, he did a 3 way call with me. I told him that I already went over all the information with my sales rep Tim and that binder and insurance card was in the packet coming back with the contracts Fedex. That was not good enough for him. He pushed to contact my agent directly. Finally he was satisfied. But I intend to file complaints with the NYDMV, NY AG’s office and the NY DFS about this action. I received the car on the 23rd from my transporter. Car arrived without incident. They told me they wanted to clean it up before it got picked up. The car was no clean or prepped. There were still stickers from production on the car, wheels and tires. There is a nasty white something on the rear glass which still has not been able to be removed. But what is worse, someone no time in the installation of the front advertising license plate frame. It was installed crooked and not even in the correct factory detent holes in the bumper. My state does not require these, so I am quite pissed it was installed. Nobody bothered to ask me about it. I can’t even use the correct holes because the person who installed it crooked did not even center it. So I am forced to have the bumper removed and the holes filled and refinished at a cost of $380. I asked the dealership to pay for this, seeing it was there person who did this, and they refused. I am pretty sure this license frame was not on the car in the pictures that was on the website. I took of 1 star for the guy posing to be me and 1 star for the crooked and misaligned license plate frame and the dealer not willing to own up to the problem. Their slogan on the frame says “Smart People Buy Kia’s”. Apparently, smart people do not install the frames. Tim and Rosa were great to work with. Although the week I worked with them, they both seemed to be overworked (or understaffed). In any case, that is not their fault, it is poor management. More
Another smooth transaction with Smithtown Kia Sam Schmitz a former Army veteran was our sales rep & he was very thorough in explaining the few vehicles we looked at. He gave us some suggestions on the 2 vehicles we narrowed it down to, then after breaking down the monthly payments we decided on the Kia Niro Hybrid which will save us approx. $117.00 a month on gas so that helped make the decision that much easier. Upon picking up the car Sam went into every detail on the features & did a fine job! Charlie the sales Mgr. helped on a few questions we had on cost & also was very helpful. Brian who handles the insurance transfers made our day even better when we sat down with him. As I already had it in my mind just to tranfer our State Farm policy to the Niro when he asked if he could give us a quote since he works for All State. So the short verison was he saved us $148.00 a month & now have even a better policy than previous. So when all was said & done based on the mileage my wife expects to drive over 12 months our monthly exposure for the Niro is approx. $49.96 per month. Finally off to finance dept. which is headed up by Rosa & she did a fantastic job, as she has done before. In closing this is our 2nd vehicle from Smithtown Kia since 2016 & always a pleasure. Almost forgot Smithtown Kia gives you instead of a 10yr/100,000 warranty they offer a 20yr/200,000 warranty! More

The salesman Alex was so immensely helpful and informative, which made me feel so much more secure in making such a big commitment. Aside from being so knowledgeable about what he was selling he was also extremely courteous and thoughtful. He knew I was very pressed for time and did everything he possibly could to make this go as quickly and smoothly as possible. The second person, I consider myself very lucky to have met today. Rosa the financial manager is truly one of the most genuinely kind good-hearted people I've probably ever met. She truly knows how to turn your day around just with a conversation. I absolutely can't do her justice in writing. I didn't think it was ever in the cards for myself to be driving a brand new car and I'm certain without these 2 people I wouldn't be. Thank you both so so much More

My family and I have been leasing with them for years. The staff are very polite, respectful and informative. Greg Carrion, the General Manager, is the best! He is professional, personable and caring. My Salesman, Gerard Rennie, was the nicest guy ever. I wanted a new Optima. I expected to have to settle for what was left of the 2018 models. He gave me a car that was better than I had hoped for. It was a 2019 Optima S, a brand new edition to the line. What a beautiful car. Gerard went to Greg and worked out a fantastic deal. Greg made sure I was happy with the car. It was an offer I couldn't refuse! Gerard encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions or concerns. Honorable mention also goes to Rosa Fernandez-Walker. She was very friendly and made the finance part painless. More
