Michael was very easy to deal with and was able to offer me the best price for the Acura TL that I wanted. We purchased our 2011 MDX on December 23rd 2010. Armed and ready with my own car data spreadsheet I had diligently compiled over months of research, I was expecting a very long day ahead of me. Like so many times before, I had no intension of going home in a new vehicle – I was there to just “check it out”, “see how it drove” and “get a feel” for the dealership. I wanted to this adventure over as quickly and painlessly as possible. Salesman Clint Robbins greeted us with a warm smile and oozed of confidence over the MDX. Clint met my quirky spreadsheet challenges head on – answering all of my questions and then some. His knowledge of the MDX was as if he designed the car himself. He knows everything and I mean everything about that car. Not only does he know it all, he took the time to thoroughly explain the features and all the gadgets - sometimes more than once. He took his time and made sure the MDX was the right fit for what we were looking for. What was happening here – this adventure was turning out to be a great experience. He was not pushy, no high pressure antics and no transparent compliments just hoping to make a sale (I met that salesman at the last 2 dealerships) and best of all he didn’t show me the vanity mirror! Clint was a true professional, easy to work with, and a genuine nice guy! He made this MDX adventure painless. And though Clint knew I had that spreadsheet, he didn’t once make fun of it or even ask to peek at it – now that says a lot! Needless to say we did drive home that day in my new MDX. I contacted Clint Robbins via the internet. He responded immediately in a professional manner. He was able to quickly give me a price for my trade in and a price for a 2011 MDX. We had a number in mind and planned to visit all three area dealers starting with the dealer nearest to our home. Clint & Smail, second on our list and farthest from our home, pretty much hit a homer on price and our overall experience. Since I first did business with Smail Acura, I have been very pleased with the dealership. The show room is very nice and of course the cars are a pleaure to look at. The salesman that I have dealt with, John Howard, is a very pleasant and considerate person. He is certainly not a high pressure person. On the rare occasions when I have brought my Acura in for service, I have waited for the car rather than leaving it off. The waiting area is very comfortable and I also enjoy their coffee. Their service has been very prompt and the service people have also been very friendly. Overall, I plan to use Smail Acura in the future for my car needs. More
I hate to even go shopping for a new vehicle because the prices are so high, sales people are usually pushy and they just want to make the sale. My girl friend and I were coming over to the WestMoreland Mall on Saturday, December 4, 2010 just to shop and not planning on going automobile shopping. She wanted to go to Pier 1 so I dropped her off and said that I was going to go through the Acura lot just to brouse around. I pulled in and was just looking. A sales person came out (John C. Howard) and was very pleasant and informative. I told him right up front that I was just looking and I was not planning on purchasing a car. He was still wonderful with me, friendly and informative. He explained the different types of acuras, what they included, and also some pricing. I was immediately interested in the TSX. He said that we could test drive if I was interested. We went for a test drive and I loved the car. He showed me the one on the showroom floor and I asked if we could get the same sale price as the TSX's that were outside. He said that he would talk to his boss. Everything went well, he was a wonderful sales person, put me at ease, very informative. It was the best experience that I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. He made sure that I watched two videos and asked if I had questions. I cannot reiterate how informative he was. After the deal was complete, he helped me transfer my stuff from the old car to the new. He was very thorough explaining the entire interior of the car, buttons how to program asked if I had questions. He wanted to make sure that I understood all of the functionality of the vehicle. I was very impressed. I will be a return customer and I will refer your dealership to my friends. John Howard is an excellent salesmen and he is an asset to your dealership. The gentlemen that completed the final paperwork was also very informative and explained the warranty information and all paperwork thoroughly. He did not try and talk me into taking any additional warranty, but was very informative on my coverage with the basic warranty and what the extended warranty would cover. I was not going to purchase the extended warranty in the beginning, but I was so impressed with him that I purchased. Both personnel that I dealt with were great!! Keep up the good work. More
