I needed new parts for my 03 RSX due to improper installation of aftermarket headlight assemblies by the previous owner. The staff at Smail Acura Parts Department were friendly and helpful in findin installation of aftermarket headlight assemblies by the previous owner. My husband and I were looking for a vehicle for me to drive. He is handicapped and has his own equipped van. I had been researching vehicles and had the Acura MDX at the very top of my list for serveral drive. He is handicapped and has his own equipped van. I had been researching vehicles and had the Acura MDX at the very top of my list for serveral reasons. Once arriving at Smail, I was immediately greeted by Todd Rohaly. I explained to him that I had placed a query online and had been exchanging emails with Clint Robbins. He told me that Clint was with another customer, but would gladly show me around until Clint was available. We were so impressed with having Todd so willing to help us and not recommend that we wait for Clint. Todd took care of every question we had, provided us with meaningful information about the vehicle, and maintained a very professional, yet personable demeanor throughout the process. When Clint was available, he took over certain areas while Todd worked on related needs to complete the sale after our decision was made known. They worked together as a team and at no time did we feel that we were breeching a contact initially made with Clint. Smail is a wonderful place to do business and these employees are proud of their product and present it as such. Of course, the car speaks for itself in price and it is delivering everything that Todd and Clint had promised. We love it, and would love to give our business to Smail when we begin shopping for a vehicle that can accomodate my husband's mobility issues. More
We have been buying cars from Smail family of dealerships for 20 years. We decided to trade our 2001 Acura CL in for a new 2012 TL, provided the deal would be acceptable (trade and new car). Because of our past VERY POSITIVE experiences with Smail, we decided to again approach them. We were introduced to a new salesman (Clint) by our longstanding service engineer (Gabe) who explained that our old salesperson was no longer at Smail Acura(after selling us the past two Acuras). Knowing the extremely level of technology, we needed a salesperson who could explain each and every feature to our full understanding (why buy features that we cannot understand or use). My first visit was to meet the new salesman, Clint, and learn about the TL SH-awd w/tech package. Even though they did not have one of these on the lot, Clint spent over a hour talking about technology, safety, improvements over previous models/years. Clearly, he knew his cars and how to talk with his customers. Before leaving that first day, we traded contact info (emails) and he kept us abreast of incoming inventory. Two days after the correct TL arrived at the dealer (three weeks later), my wife and I made an appointment to come out, test drive, and talk about a deal. Prior to the appointment, Clint clearly explained in an email what the new car would be priced at, including dealer applied options. This proved to me that Clint (Smail Acura) was not hiding anything and presented a fair price before we arrived (I did research the car and price to be very fair). Upon arrival, he spent two hours with both of us on a detailed review of the vehicle, how it compared to the previous year's model and how it would be much different that our 2001 CL or my 2004 MDX. A long road test with plenty of opportunities to demonstrate the ride, handling and features was then conducted. At that point, I asked for a review of our trade. Only 10 minutes later, the value was returned to me (a bit less that I was hoping but the car did have 100,000 miles). We shook hands 5 minutes later and began paperwork that evening. It should be noted that Clint was not scheduled to work the evening he took our appointment but did so to match opur tight schedules. Deliver day was two days later and again, everything was picture perfect with documentation and the exact same numbers as was agreed to previously. Again, Clint took another hour to review features and get us comfortable with the new vehicle. Delivery was flawless between Clint and the Business Manager - zero pressure for anything beyond the purchase. After the third day with the new vehicle, our salesman once again called to see if we had any questions or concerns and offered to meet with us for an additional training session so that we are certain to take advantage of all the car had to offer. To finish, I work in heavy manufacturing and have seen many changes to our products and to customer service. This dealership, Smail, stands out to me with the respect that they give to each customer, time and time again. The same holds for their service department, which again, draws me back to them. If we were to move, I would most likely return to one of his dealerships for a new vehicle, and if Acura, would again return to this salesman. More
This has been the second vehicle that I have bought from Smail and from Clint Robbins the Sales Consultant. I have nothing but good things to say about the previous vehicle that I owned from them and most o Smail and from Clint Robbins the Sales Consultant. Last week I purchased a used vehicle and this week had to take in for a minor repair. Everything covered and fixed no charge, and no questions asked. I would definitely recommed Smail, but most of all Clint! Will be the guy I look for in the future of purchasing another vehicle! More
Genuinely appreciated the overall buying experience. Mike was outstanding....he never became rattled - and always answered my questions/concerns patiently. I do believe, however, I was a tad low-balled (even after numerous increases) on the value/price for my trade-in.......but I believe that's universally the case with used-car sales. Again, NO pressure was applied, no silly sales games, either. So, thanks. I will though, next time, learn to set a monthly figure that I cannot exceed - and will make sure the entire cost is covered (monthly charge, tax/title, service warranty....). I overextended myself a bit with this purchase....and, in retrospect, could have probably fought harder to stay on budget. But that's on ME. Anyway, thanks again for everything. Mike and Jim were exceptional.....and everyone at the Acura dealership treated my wife and me wonderfully. We'll be back someday, I promise. More
Smail Acura did an outstanding job of taking care of all of our needs. We had recently purchased a 2003 TL (from another dealer) and Smail was able to quickly and affordably take care of the service needs f of our needs. While we were at the dealership, we began looking at new vehicles and found that the RDX was a perfect fit for us. We put a lot of miles on our cars, but Smail was able to structure our financing so that the RDX was the lewast expensive option for our needs. Smail's serivce department will pick up our cars when they need work, and give us a vehicle to use while the work is being performed. That works great in our busy schedule. More
MIKE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE VEHICLES HE WAS SELLING. I WAS NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND MIKE GAVE ME MANY OPTIONS. HE WAS NOT HIGH PRESSURE, WHICH IS A TURN OFF FOR ME.
