We changed sales reps halfway through the process. Joe Suto (who we finished with), was great. He was very thorough in his demonstration of the features & benefits our new car came equipped with, while a Suto (who we finished with), was great. After we decided on the vehicle we wanted and it was time to negotiate, Joe handled it with class. It was by far, the least stressful vehicle purchase we've ever made. We only had to counter once, instead of the back and forth games I've had to play at other dealerships. After only making one counter offer, we were happy with the amount they offered for our trade-in, and we felt as though we got a fair deal overall. The only thing we didn't care for regarding the delivery process, was that they pretty much insisted we take delivery of the new car on the spot. We would have much rather signed whatever needed to be signed, then went home so we could have emptied our car of our personal belongings, sent our babysitter home at a reasonable hour, then came back the next day to take delivery of our new car without feeling rushed. I thought we expressed at the time, that we would have been preferred to come back the next day to take delivery, but we were told "it'll only be a few minutes"... well needless to say, it took more than a few minutes. We didn't appreciate that the dealership refused to appraise our trade-in on our first visit to the store. We're not sure if this is standard policy at Smail, or if this was a decision made by the first sales rep we worked with. He knew we had a few other vehicles we intended on looking at, so he attempted to smooth it over by suggesting we look at everything else first, then come back to Smail to have our trade-in appraised, as though that would have somehow made things easier on us. To me that was nothing more than a sales tactic to prevent me from being able to shop their trade-in number against other dealers. I get that, I used to be in sales... however, as the customer, it was an inconvenience, and was also somewhat off-putting. By that time we'd already narrowed our vehicle shopping down to 3 vehicles, and we knew the Acura TSX Wagon was going to be one of the finalists, so to speak. By not appraising our vehicle, they put us in a situation where we had to return back to Smail no matter what, which was an inconvenience, and really rubbed me the wrong way. However, their competition down the street (Sendel VW) did the same thing, they also wouldn't appraise our trade-in. That's the only reason why I only rated the overall experience as "good" as opposed to "great"... As I mentioned, I don't know if that is typical of Smail's policy, or if it was a decision made by the first sales rep we worked with. I can't say enough good things about Joe Suto. He went out of his way after the purchase, to pickup the car at my wife's place of work, and deliver it back to her later that day, to facilitate getting our remote starter installed without inconveniencing us in any way. Overall it still remains one of the best buying experiences I've ever been through, and I'd highly recommend Smail Acura, and Joe Suto, to my friends & family. I only wish they would have appraised our trade on our first visit there, and that they would have scheduled delivery for the next day when it would have been more convenient for us. More

My experience with Bud Smail Acura has earned a 5-star rating. I went to the dealership 15 minutes before closing and the salesperson, Dave Kimmick, still took the time to take me for a test drive. After that he and his finance manager stayed more than an hour after the dealership closed to get me approved for financing and to complete the paperwork on a vehicle. I really appreciate the friendliness and professionalism that the staff showed. This made me feel that they truly cared about me as a customer. We were able to negotiate a fair price on the vehicle and it is obvious that the dealership took the time to ensure that the vehicle was of good quality before it was sold. I would recommend Bud Smail Acura to all of my friends, family, and strangers. This car buying experience has far exceeded any other transaction that I have had in the past. More
Joe Suto knows Acuras! He knows them inside and out. He turned a simple test drive into a fun learning experience and completely sold me on the car by the time I was done with the test drive. Joe worked with me though the financing and through my many changes of mind. He never showed an ounce of frustration with me. Joe found the exact color combination that I wanted and sent someone over 200 miles round trip to pick the car up...at no additional charge to me. There is a reason that Joe Suto has so many awards hanging on his wall...and I saw that first-hand. I would never hesitate to purchase another car from Joe Suto! More

Our overall experience at Smail Acura today was very pleasant. We did not feel the high pressure to make the deal today, but yet there were active negotiations that led to an agreement. Dave Kimmick did a solid job representing Smail while trying to please us at the same time. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We didn't get exactly the price we were looking for (which is understandable), and that is the reason for the "good" rating above instead of "great". This was our second purchase of a car from a Smail dealer, and I would highly recommend Smail to anyone considering buying a new or used vehicle. More
