John Howard was my first contact. John was friendly and inviting. Upon my return to the dealership Mike Arndt was my sales person. Mike was very friendly and informative. I had found a posting for a pre-owned Infiniti EX35, offered for sale by Smail Acura. It was the exact color combination I was seeking and the price was something I could afford. So, I immediately telep offered for sale by Smail Acura. It was the exact color combination I was seeking and the price was something I could afford. So, I immediately telephoned the dealership and began discussions concerning the vehicle, with Clint Robbins, a sales consulatant. He was courteous, helpful and also put forth special effort, so that I could test-drive the vehicle, at my convenience. (I live approx. an hour away from the dealership and work full-time, also a distance away.) I ultimately purchased the Infiniti and Clint made the transactions as seamless as possible. His efforts were greatly appreciated! More
When I got to Acura on Saturday morning at 820 am, the Acura TL I had called about on Friday was fired up and ready to go for test drive. We didnt have to start the vehicle at all. The car seemed great for all 15 minutes we drove it. Mike was very knowledgeable about Acura, Navigation system, etc. he was friendly as well. On friday, he had sold me on buying from him becuase it was a certified PRE OWNED Acura, even though this vehicle was priced about $2000 more than another one i saw online. When I went to leave after I purchased the 2009 Acura TL with the 5 yr 62,000 mile warranty and 7 yr, 100000 mile manufactorers warranty ALSO with the 150 point approved Acura inspection. The car didnt start. The battery was dead. I was in a bit of a time constraint but Mike told me that the dealership left one of the lights on in the car overnight, which is why the vehicle's battery was dead. he did offer to replace it but i was in a rush for an appointment/committment downtown, which is why we went to see Mike so early. he confirmed that the alternator would charge the battery and sure enough i got downtown and the car battery died. this was just the TIP of the iceburg. I had to go to Advanced Auto Parts to get a new battery, which Mike paid for... this could have ALL been avoided. I also had to get to my fiancee's shower. When Advanced Auto Parts changed battery, they must have eliminated the all wheel drive in the car. Plus i was unable to turn on radio and navigation. I called Mike and he was apologetic and walked me through the process to get everything back up and running. once i got home and started driving the car more... we noticed the front right speaker was blown or something was wrong with it. This was small in nature to the engine ticking and rattling/vibration noise it is making. I emailed Mike fist thing monday monring (with in 24 business hours) and said i was not happy and that i wanted to bring the car back. I told him everything that was wrong the car and was upset. This is where Mike started changing his attitude. It became more about me and that i was doing something wrong and that everything is oK wiht the car. They did come back and pick it up and "fix" it and told me that there was water in the gas and that everything else was OK. I had spoke to rich becuase i wanted more from the dealership. Afterall, i was sold on the 150 point inspection but yet i was having some serious issues and i still am. I spoke to Ralph, a service technician at Acura and he assured me that the engine was making the vibration/rattling noise due to the type of gasoline being used. I assured him that i have not had a chance to put in any gas becuase i havent even owned the care long enough I am very frustrated and seem to be getting the run around now. I have emailed Mike yesterday and today and havent even heard back from him. I know i might be a problem to them but i am not happy with the level of service. I am going to see a mechanic tomorrow to see what is going on with the engine because it is still rattling/vibratin at 30 mph. More
