Difficult Problem With a 3.5L Ecoboost Engine I took my 2013 F150 3.5L Ecoboost in for service because when I stepped on the gas pedal hard the engine and transmission did not hook up. Because a I took my 2013 F150 3.5L Ecoboost in for service because when I stepped on the gas pedal hard the engine and transmission did not hook up. Because a lot of vehicles today are controlled electronically, I figured it had to be some sort of a "communication problem" between the engine and transmission. Frank, the Service Advisor, was very patient with me (this truck is my "baby") and he kept me informed as to the status of the service as it took some time to find the problem because the pickup would not replicate the symptom for Skyline. (Very clever truck ! :-) ) Frank, also arranged for a loaner vehicle for me as I really needed one! They had to put a Master Certified Engine/Transmission Mechanic on the pickup to finally figure out that the timing chain had stretched and (especially) under hard acceleration the truck could not read (understand the timing from the Timing Chain). Frank was very calm and very professional while I was frantically concerned for my "baby". The pickup is now running like new again !! Yeah Frank and crew !!! More

Disappointing, and Dishonest. Covered up damage on the vehicle, I drove from Vancouver WA. down to Salem in order to check out this truck. I had been shopping around for about 3 m Covered up damage on the vehicle, I drove from Vancouver WA. down to Salem in order to check out this truck. I had been shopping around for about 3 months and was pretty certain that I would be driving this vehicle home if the test drive went well and the price was right, because it had a clean Car Fax, low mileage, and had what I had been looking for in a truck. I arrived with my Nephew and we got out of the car and Jeff was waiting for us and we walked over to the truck and checked out the back for dents and scratches and then I walked up the drivers side and Jack walked up the passenger side, looking for any dents, dings or scratches anything that you would not want to see on something that you were going to pay close to 40,000.00 dollars for. Anyway Jeff was at the front of the truck with the hood open so that we could see the engine, and then it was off for the test drive, and he was pretty much in control of that also, my Nephew drove it first and then I drove it and we were both pleased at the way it handled and then off to Jeff's office so we could talk about the price and do the paper work. Like I mentioned it was about 37.000.00 without the extended warranty and I did purchase that also for about 2.000.00. Jeff went outside and put the dealers plates on and returned with the keys and I was on my way for home. I decided to drive over to my brothers house to show him my new ride and he wasn't half way to the truck and he noticed a dent in the front left side of the bumper that was about the size of a softball, I was in shock wondering how in the xxxx did I miss that, probably because when Jeff saw that Jack and I were looking for dents and dings he hurried over and lifted the hood in order to draw our attention away from the front end and instead have us focusing on the engine, and then swiftly moving us into the truck for the test drive and the truck was not facing me when I walked out to drive it home. Bottom line is this, he changed the plates on the vehicle and there is no way that he would or could have missed the damage, NO WAY. Raising the hood at the time he did could be a quinky dinkiy but I doubt it, same thing goes for the truck being parked the opposite direction that I had left it, so when I walked out I was viewing the back end instead of the front. I emailed Jeff about this and I have received nothing for a reply. It seems to me that customer service and the ability to tell the truth have become a distant memory of the past. By the way the truck was purchased in full that day so it's not I can't afford it issue. I will say thank you to the gentleman that took care of the tax and licensing for me, he was polite, informative, and had all of the paperwork sent over to WA by the following Tuesday with no hassles or xx More

He even scheduled a follow up visit with us for a week later to review the car's features after we had a chance to drive it a while. When we are ready for another new car we will definitely schedule an appointment with Jeff White at Skyline Ford. More
