BUYER BEWARE - SHACK ATTACK DEALER I strongly urge GREAT CAUTION in buying from this dealer... I purchased a 2001 BMW 525 from Daniel & Sky Motors. The car's cosmetics and photos I strongly urge GREAT CAUTION in buying from this dealer... I purchased a 2001 BMW 525 from Daniel & Sky Motors. The car's cosmetics and photos all proved to be pretty accurate. Its what was NOT shown I take issue with. A broken arm rest coin tray, a rear door sill plate. These are minor in themselves, but its the lack of transparency in disclosure about the car that's the issue. Now, I've bought dozens of cars on the Internet and I DON'T expect a brand new car, I usually find they need $1,500 or so in repairs or maintenance issues... but this car has SO MUCH more needing to be done than the norm... repairs needed to date total $6,700 to start, for a $5,000 vehicle. I asked Daniel about the condition of the car and he would choose his words carefully. There were long pauses after a question. When he did respond it was with very sketchy and dodging replies on my direct questions. Daniel would give short, cryptic responses so I felt it was like pulling teeth for him be transparent. He would just say that "it was a nice older car", which cosmetically it is. When you ask him for details he skirts the issue and just says "have it looked at by your private inspector", which I did. My inspector did find some issues but not all, as the car was not able to be put on a lift to fully inspect the undercarriage for some reason. Two issues we found that I asked Daniel about, but just he blew them off. First, were cam & exhaust sensor OBD codes my guy found. Daniel brushed it off stating they were just "pending codes"; I've never heard of "pending codes" and neither has my BMW dealer. Turns out the 2 OBD sensors DID need replacement at nearly $600. The other was a leaking head gasket ($575). Daniel stated there was no leaking present on his warehouse floor, except the car was stored outdoors! I asked him to work with me on the repair cost and he said, "absolutely not." Daniel claimed he drove the car for a week and no issues arose. When I received the car I immediately drove it to my local BMW dealer and just driving 5 miles to their shop the valve cover leak became apparent as did a radiator pressure screw leak (minor, $10 part). Daniel also stated in the ad that he has a relationship with local BMW dealer and gets great trade-ins. However, once I got the title it turned out the this car was actually from a Carmax in Orlando, then to another dealer and then to Sky Motors. So, ask to see a copy of title before buying if you're going to do business with these people, if you really want to be taken advantage of. Since receiving the car I have discovered it needs $6,700 in repairs! Here's the complete list: Leaking head gasket, center heat/AC dial that was frozen - had to take apart dash to fix, seriously cracked power belts, vanos oil line leakage, fuel door actuator pin broken not allowing remote key fobs to work, total realignment of all 4 tires, cam & exhaust censors, driver rear door window needs motor, non-working hood release, pan gasket replacement, ball joint boots totally cracked, replaced leaking water pump & thermostat and more... Now here's the BACK-BREAKER on this car, as if the above was not enough. The blower motor fan is making a high-pitched whining noise. My dealer said the bearings in the blower motor fan have just about gone out. This means needing to replace the entire blower motor which IS VERY BIG DEAL to fix, pulling apart dash, etc. Cost for this repair alone is $2,000! So, NONE of this was disclosed by Sky Motors. Apparently, they just were hoping for a quick flip to an out of state buyer like myself. Gives new meaning to "SHARK ATTACK" BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!! More
I had a very good experience with Daniel at Sky Motorworks. Daniel authentically cared about me and didn't push the sale. I really appreciate that. Nice car and a nice guy to deal with. Buyer beware I purchased a 1995 Oldsmobile convertible that was in great shape with everything working as it should for a 22 year old car. I asked a few questions I purchased a 1995 Oldsmobile convertible that was in great shape with everything working as it should for a 22 year old car. I asked a few questions about the top working and leaking and Daniel stated it worked with no leaks. I guess soaking the front seats and water running inside all windows is not technically leaking. The ABS and oil lights were on when I received the car and the dash lights dis not work at all so I guess there safety inspection missed that one too. But the biggest issue is that it took me three months to register this car due to the fact that it had been involved in a side collision and the door was replaced which was a red flag to the DMV and the highway patrol. So needless to say the car is not even worth much and I am stuck with it. And when they mention how we are jeopardizing how he feeds his family mayve he should think about how he has jeopardized our families by selling lemons to us. More

I had originally found the car listed on eBay with a lengthy description of the car that Daniel provided (see picture). I ended up calling Daniel at Sky Motorworks with a slew of questions and for the most part he answered them but a bit vaguely and seemed very uninterested to do so. In his listing he was very confident in the way the car drove and operated and I took his word for it. I unfortunately was unable to fly out to see the car and ended up buying the car sight unseen (big mistake and I am at fault there). I wanted to buy through eBay but Daniel was adamant against it due to fees charged (I was hoping for some buyer protection). Once I called and said I wanted to buy it, Daniel's tune changed to a bit more upbeat. During the buying timeline, it was relatively easy to get the paperwork all sorted out. Once we signed the paperwork and sent it over I wanted a copy of the paperwork we signed with his signature in the sellers portion. This took multiple attempts to have him email it to us. He stated that it would come with the car but I wanted peace of mind to have the paperwork before hand. Once the car arrived, the paperwork that I needed was not complete and ended up taking another week to get the rest of the information I needed to register the car. Communication became more scarce once the money was sent over. I was very disappointed in the customer service after the purchase. I had to do most of the work to find out when things were happening like when the car was on the trailer to me, when paperwork was arriving etc. That is just the communication/ service aspect. Now, as for the car.... The car was falsely advertised. I understand I should have had it inspected prior to purchase but that does not take away the fact it was listed as something great when it turn it was a complete lemon and stated with items that worked correctly and "....had our service facility look over the car". I had email communication with Daniel after receiving the car stating my displeasure and he offered a measly return of $150 or to sell the car for me. At that point I had already put a lot of money into the car as well as over 50 hours of work into it. The repairs and diagnoses for the car would FAR surpass that price. Once again, I understand I bought a 12 year old car but was told the car was excellent and the car also only had 66k miles presuming it would still be a reliable car (once again, I was was wrong). Here are a few of the items we were told worked/ looked great but actually did not: - The engine has a stutter when it starts and does not start smoothly. - “The 4-speed transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears without any issues.” When using medium throttle from a stand still, first gear will shutter and then shift hard to second. - When going over bumps, the front end is very loose with lots of clunking noises. -The vehicle pulls to the right; I had the car realigned and it was well out of range. - With medium to heavy braking there is a very concerning pulse to the brakes and the steering wheel shakes side to side. The calipers were also painted silver to make it look like they were brand new calipers or very well taken care of, which is obviously not the case. Overspray was present on multiple other brake parts as well. - I had asked over the phone if all of the speakers are working, and was told that they were. They are not - the tweeters in both front doors and in the rear speakers do not work. The only highs come out of the front lower door speakers. - The entire car was repainted at some point. There are paint runs under the driver rear door, on the rear driver door handle, over spray on the rear lower valance, bad Bondo work to the rear bumper, faded and flaking clear coat on the C pillar on the driver side and the whole car has a dull sheen to it. There is clear coat over spray on the front and rear windows. Worst of all, the trunk lid has rust dots on it as well as extremely visible sanding marks under the paint and on the spoiler. Here are the other issues that we found: - When at speed, the sunroof has a VERY loud wind whistle. - The left rear wheel had a stripped wheel stud and lug. - There is a torn flex joint on the catalytic converter. - Cruise control does not work reliably. - Multiple fuses were popped including the rear brake lights and adjustable pedals. The brake lights and running lights have already popped fuses multiple times. - The lights on the shifter and HVAC display do not stay on when the lights are on. - The vehicle was infested with ants. - A check engine light came on two days after driving it, code P0128. Moral of the story, if you are going to buy a vehicle from Daniel at Sky Motorworks, have it inspected thoroughly. I'm sure I am going to get bad mouthed by Daniel or the silent partner that works there. I have seen a few other reviews that their responses lashed out at the reviewer. I am not out to tarnish someones record on purpose. I was done wrong and want people to know about it. My favorite line from Daniel was "In my opinion the car and buyer do not match, it happens sometimes" basically, wish I could have screwed someone else with this car. More

Lied about car being non smoker Daniel Maisonet and Tom Tengerdy (google search both names and then check Sarasota County court records) of Sky Motorworks advertised a car on Ebay as Daniel Maisonet and Tom Tengerdy (google search both names and then check Sarasota County court records) of Sky Motorworks advertised a car on Ebay as a "non smoker" car that we subsequently bought. The car arrived about a week later with extensive cigarette damage (see photos on Yelp) and a disgusting "smoke" smell coming from the vents. When I complained to Daniel and demanded that he buy back the car - being that he obviously lied about the evidence of cigarette smoking - he refused, saying that he, Manager Tom Tengerdy nor Sky Motorworks were liable due to the "As Is" nature of the sale. In his EBAY ad, he said "this car is as close to new as it can come." He also said the wheels and tires are in great condition, and he did not expect the new owner would have to replace them." The car is a sweet ride, but the rear passenger tire was a snow tire, and the others weren't, so all needed to be replaced, as the car is AWD. Also while the battery was new, it was the wrong size, so it needed replacement. I had to order fastener bolts and screws for the engine compartments. I understood I was only getting one keyfob, but the remote features don't work on it. The driver display instrument cluster needed repair/replacement. That said, after putting more money than I expected into the car, I am very happy with it. It looks about 2 years old and drives great. More

Daniel at Sky Motorworks wasn't pushy at all and walked me through the process. He walked around the car as I was on the phone and told me about all the imperfections. I then paid for the car and he arranged shipping for me here to Chicago. Two days ago the car was taken off the transport truck and it was exactly how Daniel described it. Thanks, I love my Cadillac. Don't Trust Daniel at Sky Motorworks Daniel comes off as a nice, trusting halfway decent guy, he does.. until you learn his tricks. -No, a doctor wasn't the prior owner of your car. Daniel comes off as a nice, trusting halfway decent guy, he does.. until you learn his tricks. -No, a doctor wasn't the prior owner of your car. It wasn't a local trade in. It was a bought on a wholsale auction for a quick flip. -No, a certified (Mercedes BMW Cadillac) master mechanic didn't look at your car. It's just a guy at a garage. -The lengthy test drive he says he took in your car. Never happened. He actually said he drove it for 50 miles or so.. but when I got it there were only 4 miles on the trip. I'm writing about Daniel and Sky Motorwerks to warn any out of state buyers to NEVER take his word on the condition of your car. After numerous conversations, texts back and fourth, and a video I asked him to take of his mechanic testing for exhaust gasses in the cooling system for bad head gaskets, I agreed to purchase the car. A 1998 Cadillac Eldorado ETC with only 74k miles. Because Daniel said he would let his mother drive around in it. Which is exactly why I bought it, for my mother, and because he told me "full disclosure, the plastic part in the dashboard is cracked. I just wanted to be 100% UPFRONT and HONEST with you". His exact words!!! Here is a list of the things that Daniel thought didn't need to be disclosed. -The right channel of the radio is out, (front and rear). -dash pad warped, discolored and cracked -shifter insert broken -b pillar interior sun damage (interior is warped)and pulling away -spray painted seats and steering wheel. -passenger seatbelt won't tighten -Overspray on steering column and gauge cluster -onboard fuel computer mileage/distance to empty is inaccurate by about 60%, mpg off. -windshield squirters don't work -headlight out -turn signal out -fog lights out. -license plate bulbs out -Heater/ac makes a loud noises -right front strut knocks around over bumps. He advertised that his Cadillac certified mechanic looked the car over . So if that was the case, then he knew about all of these problems and chose not to fix anything. Or that his certified master Cadillac mechanic couldn't diognose a lightbulb.... I messaged Daniel about these problems. His reply was that I bought an older car and that I couldn't compare it to new. And that only safety issues are addressed on older cars at their dealer. Are the lights, windshield sprayers, turn signal, seatbelt and the bad strut not safety issues??? His listing didn't mention any of these problems and he wasn't willing to do anything about it but try to sell the car from my location while I ate the $510 for shipping. I understand what a used car is. I know they can't all be perfect, but I also know that a 1998 Cadillac with only 74000 miles owned by a doctor who kept it in a garage with a $42000 new purchase price should be in way better condition than this car. I asked him to buy the car back, or make good on the situation. He said I was out of luck. Daniel then called me an extortionist and an anti Christian because I told him I was going to write a review. Who does this guy think he is? I guess it's my fault for not asking if the seatbelt works, or if only the left speakers work or if the headlights work... There are other bad reviews about Daniel and Sky Motorwerks out there. Please Read them before spending a dime at this dealer. More
