Excellent Experience, Would Highly Recommend After doing some investigating on TrueCar.com, I was quickly (within an hour) contacted by Herman about purchasing a new car. Just on first impression After doing some investigating on TrueCar.com, I was quickly (within an hour) contacted by Herman about purchasing a new car. Just on first impression he gave a welcoming tone, and seemed very ambitious to bring in my business. This was a very different attitude when compared to the "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude most dealers typically had. We spoke briefly about numbers and he stated he could guarantee with 15-20 minutes of my time he believed we could come to a deal. I have to admit, I have heard similar pitches from other dealers so after hearing this I was a bit skeptical. To my pleasant surprise upon arriving at the dealer I was introduced to a dealer named Roy Lerman, whom I cannot say enough good things about. After discussing the terms on a new car and a trade-in Roy was very obliging in reaching the numbers I had stated were the terms required for me to "take it home today", and even helped me get a discount I did not know I could obtain. Throughout the process Roy was very transparent about the costs included in the price and was great about explaining where "hidden fees" could be attached and what the value of the car was. He didn't pressure me into buying the car and actually gave me ample opportunity to think the deal over/make phone calls throughout the process. Never did I feel rushed or as if I was waisting his time. Throughout the day I was treated with the respect and courtesy I feel any buyer of a new luxury car should be afforded. Even when it came time to switch insurances from my previous car, Roy was more than happy to do the legwork in obtaining all of the paperwork in a timely fashion. Even upon discussion over financial terms, there was no pressure to buy an extended warranty, and they were great about explaining what each sheet of paper I was signing stated. Overall, I have had several car buying experiences and most leave the buyer feeling like they are being taken advantage of or extremely frustrated. This experience changed my mind, it felt moremore like an equal exchange of commodities without any lies or gimmicks attempting to cheat me out of more money. In the future when I decide to purchase a car for my spouse or family, I would absolutely return to Silver Star motors since the experience and the price of the car were both exactly what I was looking for. More

Wasted my time!!! I was called in reply to my inquiry to lease an ML. Told by Herman that I had to come in to get a price. Since I want the car this week I traveled to I was called in reply to my inquiry to lease an ML. Told by Herman that I had to come in to get a price. Since I want the car this week I traveled to Queens at the scheduled time and waited ten minutes for Herman to show up and lead me fifteen feet to JaY Dari's desk. He had my notes in front of him, but had not prepared for me. He then entered the request, asked what price I already had and I told him $1650 down and $^^0 a month for 12, 000 miles. He went to his manager and came back with $950 a month...bythe way said he did not have the car, I asked source from another dealer and he suggested he could order new for delivery in August!!! Insulting waste of my time!!!! More
