The salesman and the finance manager are dishonest and crook I don't know how this dealership gets high ratings .....my experience with them has been a personal disaster. I was told I could not put a deposit o I don't know how this dealership gets high ratings .....my experience with them has been a personal disaster. I was told I could not put a deposit on the car they were offering for sale on Autotrader.com because there was a lot of interest in the car and people were coming in to see the car over the weekend ( I told them I wanted to buy the car and how to secure the deal/car). The following Tues I called and was told no one put a deposit on the car and I was mine if I wanted it. I told the internet salesman at Silver Star I wanted to buy it. After several calls on my part the finance manager reached me we agreed on the process for sale. I sent him a copy of my drivers' license and followed up a signed credit card authorization in the amount of $1,000 to secure the car. In my emails I asked it there was anything else they needed and got no reply. I secured a plane ticket for NY drove down to Detroit the afternoon before got a hotel room and was all prepared with cashiers check for this expensive car only to finally get a call at 5:29pm that evening from a secretary telling me the car was sold out under me. These folks are crooks and liars who are now claiming they never got my email credit card authorization. I have emails to prove I sent it to them and a phone call to my saleman the morning I left asking if everything was a go. He said its 100%. So now I must drive five hours back home to northern Michigan I have expended over $500 and much time and emotional stress as a result from working with these dishonest people......I plan on getting legal advice and advising Mercedes as to the type of dealership this is. so beware. I have never experienced anything like this in my previous dealings with other Mercedes dealers. There is something fishy here. More
