Some context: I wrote most of this review a couple weeks ago but was called by a Shottenkirk big wig and politely asked if I would take down the review because it wasn’t exactly a glowing one. I did take down the review because I appreciated the attempt but since then I’ve had more issues with the dealership concerning my permanent plates, and so—back up goes the review and I WILL NOT be removing it this time. The review is below. —————————— If they tell you they'll send your docs electronically, DON'T trust them. Demand all your paperwork in hard copy before you leave. It's like pulling teeth getting anything from them once you leave. Then the finance manager sends the docs to me three days late in an unprofessional email that's blank with just the title "COPIES" and an attachment. No apology for being late and he didn't even include all the warranty paperwork and NONE of the GAP coverage paperwork. After asking and asking and getting ignored via email, I finally did the legwork myself and contacted EG Assurance to get both contracts in full. Didn't take much for me to do this, but it's the principle of the matter. When I sign a contract at the dealership I expect copies of everything I sign, like, yesterday, not three days later and only after begging for them. So much for customer service/follow-up once the purchase is done. And dealerships wonder why they are reviled right up there with lawyers and politicians. UPDATE: Oh and given the issues I’ve had with this dealership, it’s no surprise that my permanent license plates mysteriously haven’t showed up. I called the county tax office and they said the tags were mailed out to the dealership in mid-May. My temp plate expire tomorrow on June 19, 2024. I had to call Shottenkirk last week to learn they haven’t come in. To date, no one from the dealership has reached out to me about the missing plates. I ended up going down to the tax office and getting issued new plates. A minor inconvenience that costed me time and an additional $6 but just one more reason it will be a cold day in xxxx before I ever buy from xxxxtenkirk Ford again. More

I was told that the 5,000 mile required an oil change, top off all fluids and to rotate the tires. I agreed that all that work to be preformed! I dropped my vehicle off and waited patiently! It only took them about and hour and when I was ready to pay out and was going over Everything they did, there had not been a tire rotation! Said it was not required. When I questioned the young man again he stated that the only reason it would be required was if the miles on my car where Highway miles. I explained that they were in fact highway miles and that the tires were supposed to be rotated. He then proceeded to tell me that they didn’t rotate till 10,000 miles. Or every other oil change.
