Description of Complaint: I purchased a 2015 Lincoln MKX on 12/7/22. Within 2 days I noticed that my sun and moon roof don’t open. Randy my sales rep told me not to worry. They would take care of everything on 12/7/22. Within 2 days I noticed that my sun and moon roof don’t open. Randy my sales rep told me not to worry. They would take care of everything and he would make an appointment with the service department on 12/9/23 over a month later. So I arrive at the scheduled appointment time and they said they had no idea why I was there and that there wasn’t an appointment. I was told by Brian the assistant service manager that because of the mix up they would cover any diagnostic charges at Ray Pearman and everything is handled. So finally they call back and tell me they did have an appointment there for me at Lincoln. So I took it down there. They had no information about Shottenkirk Acura covering the charges nor the information about the extended warranty so no it wasn’t handled. I called and spoke with Allen, he refused to give me his word about the charges being covered and refused to contact Ray Pearman to give them my extended warranty info. No one is taking responsibility for the multiple mix ups and giving their word that this won’t be a cost to me. I also called the extended warranty company Ethos and they have no record of my warranty. I took off work to handle this and was tossed around endlessly. Still haven’t had proof they will cover costs nor proof they submitted my extended warranty info! More

I don’t know why damson sold to a shady corporation, we have bought lots of cars and by far the WORST experience trying to by a car. Can you say SCRIPTED MUCH?? Don’t even get me started on the prices they add - shottenkirk care is the biggest scam I’ve ever heard of - apparently is a non negotiable almost 1k add on for this AAA or insurance would cover. They refused to take it off even though their website claims it’s something they offer (and the definition of the word offer literally has accept or deny in it). They also had an almost 2k charge for accessories (never ever in our car buying history have we ever paid for that) you cannot charge extra for things like a running board or floor mats!! Ridiculous!! After giving us the run around 5 times we left and decided to take our business elsewhere! Do not even give your time to the scams of shottenkirk !! More
I was about to leave on vacation and my check emissions light came on. I took my car in the next morning and they fixed it right away. They were so helpful and assuring me of a safe trip!
