Service Visit Shore Toyota's service department is very efficient. They get you in and out quickly. I had to call twice to find out if my vehicle was ready at the time it was promised and had to wait for a call back from my service representative because no one knew. Then, when I came to pick up the car my service rep was not available so someone else gave me the paperwork. When I asked if the car had been washed, I was told, "I have not idea, you'll have to ask your service representative." Unfortunately that person was no where to be found. I heard another service representative ask their customer if they'd like their car washed and was very accommodating toward them while they waited. As it turned out, mine was not washed and I had to search for it in the parking lot. I was made to feel like I was a "bother" to them. As for the actual service, it was done well and the charges were what I anticipated. More

Amateurs I took my Toyota Tacoma to Shore Toyota for a brake job because the front right brake was making noise. They replaced the front rotors and pads, resur I took my Toyota Tacoma to Shore Toyota for a brake job because the front right brake was making noise. They replaced the front rotors and pads, resurfaced the rear brake drums and replaced the rear shoes. They also replaced the rear axle seals. Shore charged me $1,032 to make my brakes worse. That’s not a typo! They really did charge me $1,032 for a brake job. After getting my truck back the brakes were making a womp-womp noise and the brake pedal was bouncing up and down. Something was obviously out of round. Either the rotors were warped or the drums were resurfaced out of round. I returned the truck to have the problem corrected. After having the truck for most of the day, they said the drums needed to be resurfaced, but there wasn’t sufficient material remaining on the drum, so they would have to be replaced. Obviously the drums were not resurfaced properly the first time. Astonishingly, the solution from Shore Toyota was for me to return a third time and have me pay an additional $240 to buy new drums to fix their resurfacing mistake. They said they wouldn’t charge me labor. I bought a pair of brake drums from AdvanceAuto is $154.22. Obviously the “free” labor charge was already built into the $240 quote. I refused to pay the $240 extra. That would have made my brake job $1,272! I also decided I would be better off not using a service center that that needs three attempts to complete a simple brake job! I took my truck to Darrell's Auto Repair on Fire Road. Amazingly Darrell’s told me I needed a rear axel seal! Either Shore Toyota never did the rear axel seal repair work they charged me for, or they don’t have the skill set to properly install axel seals. My repair bill at Darrel’s to correct the mistakes made by Shore Toyota was $462.28. In total I paid $1,647.50 for a brake job! The only positive part of the entire process was service rep Robert Fredericks. He has always been great and tries his best to be helpful. SHORE TOYOTA, NEVER AGAIN. More

Completely Disappointed Scheduled my 15,000 mile service (tire rotation and top off fluids) appointment for 9:45, was not greeted by any of the service advisors until aroind Scheduled my 15,000 mile service (tire rotation and top off fluids) appointment for 9:45, was not greeted by any of the service advisors until aroind 10-10:05. I was already frustrated at this point so instead of sitting in the waiting room I decided to monitor the progress on my vehicle. They tagged my vehicle took the keys and parked my vehicle outside. At this point i figured they are busy and they will pull my vehicle back in shortly (15-20 min) NOPE!!! I watched my vehicle sit in the side lot for an HOUR. By then i could no longer contain my anger and disatisfaction. I then reminded the service advisor that I had made an appointment for 9:45 and was waiting and it had been over an hour and all that had been accomplished was them parking my car outside. And let me add that in the time my vehicle sat in the side lot, the three lube techs that were working were in fact talking 60 percent of the time , super casual no sence of urgency , just chatting it up hands in pockets, so after I got finished giving the service advisor a piece of my mind , my vehicle was promptly pulled in and put on the lift. Thought things were getting better , NOPE !!!!!, once they had it on the lift and there was no supervision the lube techs went right back to chatting with hands in pockets. And a job that should take 20-30 min was drug out for almost another hour. The lack of professionalism and disregard for thier customers time is completely incomprehensible. If you make an appointment it should be honored. More
