Overcharged on MRSP I paid with cash, was quoted prices that we were happy with, shook on the deal, and then before signing the final contracts, found we got overcharged I paid with cash, was quoted prices that we were happy with, shook on the deal, and then before signing the final contracts, found we got overcharged on theManufacturer’s STICKER PRICE (MSRP) by $400. I expect to pay less than MSRP, not MORE, especially when paying cash. We’ve owned only Toyotas for decades. No more! Sticker was $23,615. Charged $24010. (Had nothing added). Tradein was $7000. Factory rebate was $1500. Yet I had to pay $17,336.75 cash for a 2019 Toyota Corolla. Not much of a deal... More
Homphobic Slur I'm not the type to write reviews, in fact I never have. But I was so utterly disgusted by my interaction with this dealership I felt the need to warn I'm not the type to write reviews, in fact I never have. But I was so utterly disgusted by my interaction with this dealership I felt the need to warn others. I went in the see about a frame replacement on my 03 tacoma with 62,000 miles, due to the Toyota recall after they dropped the ball on frames for that model year. While I was having a discussion with the assistant service manager about how Toyota would not stand by their product and fix their mistake because the warranty was expired by a few months, another service member walked in and had a light hearted exchange with the manager. He then proceeded to use a extremely offensive Homophobic slur right in front of me. The manager laughed and brushed it off as if it was no big deal however I was completely appalled. Despite this, they continuously insisted on telling me what they could offer on my vehicle and took my into the sales area. They tried the same dirty dealer tricks by handing me a paper asking me to fill out my social and all of my personal information, saying in was just a privacy agreement. Had I not asked a few more questions regarding the need to disclose such information, they would have run my credit without my consent leaving me to deal with a hard credit inquiry and a knock to my credit score. Although it felt like they were trying to deceive me, I finally got into a car for a test drive and it was FILTHY! It was covered in some kind of animal hair from the previous owner that I'm still trying to get off of my clothing a week later. Lastly, after the "sales manager" came to discuss numbers, I mentioned I was considering calling Toyota to see if they might be willing to honor their factory recall for my truck frame. The manager literally laughed in my face and said "yeah there is no way thats going to happen". So despite the dealership of a major auto manufacturer company claiming to carry such a high quality product, the face of this company scoffs at the idea of his employers' willingness to correct a manufacturing problem that's already been publicly recalled. As a local military member, I was honestly appalled and very offended with how this dealership conducted themselves and chose to represent Toyota. As I'm sharing here, I will also be sure to inform the 350+ members at my base to stay away from such a disrespectful, deceitful, and unethical business. I still plan on contacting Toyota, however I strongly recommend steering clear of this dealership, even after their new fancy remodel. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. More

unprincipled deceptive short-sighted If your planning on buy a car and you want to get ripped off then Shore Toyota is the place to go. I can honestly say the worst buying experience, in If your planning on buy a car and you want to get ripped off then Shore Toyota is the place to go. I can honestly say the worst buying experience, in my seventy-nine years, I’ve ever had, was my purchase of a 2017 RAV4 was at Shore Toyota. They ended up charging me $10,000 over the listed price for an outdated model. They did this by “negotiating” on the basis of monthly payments and skipping over the terms of the contract. They knowingly executed a contract that contained statements that they knew were false. If that’s not deceptive I don’t know what is. Upon realizing I had been screwed I filed complaints with Toyota Corporation, The Better Business Bureau and New Jersey Consumer Affairs. Don’t waste your time. 1) Toyota Corporation doesn’t care if you have been over charged and will nothing. 2) The Better Business Bureau actually is paid by the business and will end up not even displaying your complaint. The Better Business Bureau is a big misnomer. 3) New Jersey Consumer Affairs. After filling a complaint I called them three times for follow-up and they never even returned my calls. It's kind of sad when an organization thinks it's better to rip off a customer and they think it’s a great idea. When in reality the customer knows they have been ripped off and will never do business again and will do their best to make sure to pass the word along to many other people. So in reality, they are doing themselves a disfavor. In summary, if your planning to buy a Toyota avoid Shore Toyota at all cost. More
Going downhill. My salesman Eddee called me up early that day to come in for an appraisal of my car and to see if I would be interested in a great offer for a 2018 Ca My salesman Eddee called me up early that day to come in for an appraisal of my car and to see if I would be interested in a great offer for a 2018 Camry that I was interested in. After the manager Ron came to me with papers and it showed an MVA charge for $1500 I knew something was very fishy. Also, the Camry was listed as new when in fact it have 2400 miles already on it with obvious wear on it. When asked if it was titled I got a response that it was not known. I spoke to a few of my friends who are car salesman including an ex Toyota salesman who said this practice is unacceptable. I was very shocked of this since I previously have purchased two other vehicles from Shore Toyota. I am now VERY skeptical of this and now will go elsewhere to look for my car. Also, want to add that the service department let go many employees and that department is going downhill as well. I would love to hear from the GM of Shore to talk to him about this experience. More

sales experience I had one of the worst buying experiences of my life in this dealership. Not only did they raise the price of the car but they couldn't explain why th I had one of the worst buying experiences of my life in this dealership. Not only did they raise the price of the car but they couldn't explain why they had added a thing called an MVA to the price. They said it was supply and demand but they had 40 similar cars on site. The worst part came at the end when I said I wouldn't buy the car. They send in a man named Nick Cantatore who was not only very rude but very nasty when I said I wasn't buying the car. I actually heard the desk manager Glen Ridel tell mr. Cantatore to tell me to get the F out... From now on I'll take to drive to Toms River where I got the same car for a much cheaper price. More

He showed us options that fit our needs and price point. We came in to trade our Tacoma thinking we’d end up with a car. But he heard how much we loved our Tacoma and got us into a new one. Shore Toyota made adjustments we needed and Anthony delivered the truck to me at my job site. Great customer service and friendly personnel made this a wonderful shopping experience. We couldn’t be happier! More
