Markell Robinson - unprofessional My husband and I called the day before to verify that the cargo van we wanted to buy was there. We called because we live in Maryland and didn’t w My husband and I called the day before to verify that the cargo van we wanted to buy was there. We called because we live in Maryland and didn’t want to travel if the car was either not on their lot or out of our price range. Nonetheless, we were told one price via phone and assured the vehicle was on available for purchase. The gentleman (who happened to be off the following day) set our appointment for 1:00pm, put all the information in the system along with the agreed upon price. When we arrived, the car wasn’t on the lot; however, we were told by Larenzo (who happened to be very professional) that he would get the car from a partner store. After nearly two hours of waiting around, the sales manager, Markell Robinson, arrived and said he would NOT sell us the car for the price that we were originally told. (I don’t think they could find the vehicle and deflected their “mess up” on the price of the vehicle instead.) My husband began explaining to Markell that our time was wasted. We were told one thing and now we are leaving without a vehicle. Markell preceded to get into my husband’s face and in a very loud degrading tone said, “call corporate or whoever you want to call, you have NO CONTRACT!” When I tried to interject, Markell put his hand in my face and said, “NO, I’m not disrespecting him,” completing cutting me off. Throughout the entire situation I was speechless because Markell was upset as if we did something wrong. They completely wasted our time and had no remorse for it. At the end, Markell told my husband that the only thing he would do for us is put gas in our car so we would leave faster. It wasn’t about the money, it’s about having a moral compass, integrity and compassion for others. We were treated terribly and that’s what saddens me. I think Markell needs to be held accountable for his actions. More
