Awesome start, Failed finish My wife needed a "new" used vehicle that fit our budget but would be reliable for years to come. After a few months of looking online we found a used My wife needed a "new" used vehicle that fit our budget but would be reliable for years to come. After a few months of looking online we found a used Toyota truck that met our needs but was slightly higher in price than we had on hand. I contacted the used sales dept and actually was able to speak to the manager. After listening to what we were looking for and hearing me out he got back to me within a few hours despite them being very busy on Labor Day weekend. We were able to work out a price that we could deal with. It was an "out the door price" provided the truck was what it was advertised as appearance and mechanically online. At the dealership we were met by a young man who was energetic and helpful. He brought the truck right around for us to look at and drive. He said his sales manager would have handed the sale off to him anyway so we were able to deal with him. We looked at the truck and found a few minor things that we thought needed attention. Some of those included tires that passed inspection but were getting close to needing replaced, no floormats, the charger covers were missing, some scratches that were pretty obvious on the truck, and the truck only had one key. The salesman checked with the sales manager and we were told that the out the door price was what it was and the tires passed inspection so they were not going to be replaced. While I thought that some leeway could be made there, I did respect the fact that the sales manager had come down on the price to make the sale as smooth as possible without a lot of messing around. So, I let that be. The floormats we were told were not included as part of a sale so we let that go. Seemed odd to get a vehicle without floor mats to us but not a huge deal. We were told the scratches would be buffed out and the truck delivered to us in a few days after a few minor other things the dealership wanted to do to the truck to make it "certified" to include the key. Apparently having 2 keys is required according to the salesman, to be "Certified". That was great with us. We definitely wanted keys and the scratches buffed out. The charger/accessory outlet covers we were verbally told could/would be taken care of before the truck was delivered. Both the used car sales manager and the salesman were outstanding to deal with. Because we had agreed upon the price out the door before we ever got the dealership and the fact that we were paying cash with an insurance settlement the transaction was very fast. It was the smoothest transaction we have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Finance person, Ray, was outstanding. However.... When the truck was delivered a few days later there was no second key ready. The scratches were buffed out and the truck was in great appearance. The accessory outlets were not fixed as verbally promised. My wife commented to them that she would have waited a few days more to get the truck "completely done" if she had known their key guy only comes in on Fridays. She was told that the keys could be done very soon, like Friday. Inquiries were made about just mailing the key and I would program them. It is not hard to do. I have done a number of them. The topic of the accessory outlets came up and the salesman was going to look into it and get back to my wife as this was her vehicle. In short, it took 2.5 weeks of emails, phone calls and so on by my wife to both the salesman and his boss with very few replies at all before she got fed up and actually just drove the hour to the dealership after taking off work to pick up the key. As she was driving up to the dealership the salesman FINALLY called her back and wanted to make arrangements to give her a car to use while they took the truck to get the key set for it. This was unacceptable as it was far too late to reply and she was already off work and halfway to the dealership. The salesman told her he would see her at the dealership when she had her appointment to get the key done (within the hour) and she never saw him make an appearance. She did get her key programed thanks to the general manager Shawn getting that arranged. Although we have read great reviews of this dealership and our initial experience getting the truck sold to us was incredibly well done, the moment the truck was delivered that all ended. Multiple unreturned phone calls, lack of customer service and the fact that things we were told did not happen make it impossible for us to recommend this dealership to anyone. I felt like we would send all of our acquaintances to this place at first but we found out that the after the sale, customer service was just horrible. I don't understand how or why it happened but given the fact that my wife emailed numerous times, left messages and so on, we feel we gave them a fair chance to get it right and it just ended up being pretty bad. My advice is to get everything in writing (accessory outlet covers) AND don't leave the lot with the vehicle unless it is totally done and you are totally satisfied because once you are out of sight it seems you are out of their mind. More

He answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. We then decided we might as well just bite the bullet and buy it, but we really didn't want to spend all day at the dealership. We told Jerry we'd buy the car if he could get us out of there quickly and he hustled! We negotiated a good price and he efficiently did all the random things that needed doing while we waited for the money guy. In and out in record time. And when, less than a week later, I got a "get a deal" email, Jerry went to the mat and helped us save even more money, honoring the sale. Jerry will take good care of you. Thanks. More
