So, on a particularly cold day last December, my wife and I went to Sheehy to look at the new Edge and the Explorer models. The moment we stepped onto the sales floor, Ralphael introduced himself and, after donning his parka, spent a good 45 minutes showing us new vehicles and answering many many questions concerning the relative merits of the Edge vs the Explorer. As a result of his interest and focus on getting us fully up to speed quickly and without any pressure whatsoever, we decided to rely on him from the first. Our decision proved correct. Long story short, my wife specced out an Explorer on the Ford website and sent it to Ralphael, who responded immediately with price and availability. Because of the press of family matters, we did not close on the vehicle that Ralphael had presented. Weeks passed. Again we went out to Sheehy and looked at Explorers. Wife not dancing up and down for new Explorer, being as how we have one which runs like a sewing machine and it stays with us. Wife sits in silver Taurus Limited. Done deal. With Ralphael's patient assistance, wife specs out and orders a Taurus Limited. At a super price. After car arrived, Ralphael, the techno wizard, spent much time explaining the mysteries of many of the car's electronic goodies to the [extremely] digitally challenged owners. And he invited us to come back any time for additional tutorials. The car is fantastic. My wife loves it. And John Norris advised me to buy the extended warranty, so I did. Kudos also to Meaghan Jordan and Mike [Finance guru] who took care of other important matters with great skill and good will. Bottom line, Ralphael Harrison is a great player on the Sheehy team. Great Experience Purchasing our Car My commuter car had been on it's last legs for a while and I really needed a new one. I had been there the week before, met Mike Engelmann and told him I needed a good commuter car, Germantown to Bethesda and back 5x a week and sometimes more. I also needed a car suitable for hunting and fishing with a roof rack for my canoe and kayak. Mike Engelmann showed me a 2013 Ford Escape on the lot that fit the bill perfectly. It gets great gas mileage and the EcoBoost engine has a lot of pep. For all practical purposes new, very low mileage, but without the new car price. The following week my wife and I decided this was too good an opportunity to pass up and went back to the dealership to fill out the paperwork to buy the car. It was as painless as such a transaction could possibly be. Mike was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and supportive. Financing went smoothly. Mike had sold us another used car 6 years ago, a Hyundai Elantra for our then teenaged daughter to drive to high school. She is now a college graduate and working, and still has the same car. It still runs like a top, and is very fuel efficient. This was another pleasant car-buying experience. Great job Sheehy and Mike. More
