I was having issues with the lifters on my back hatch not holding itself up so I came to your center needing the hatch lift repaired, an oil change and because I heard the news report regarding the Engine pr holding itself up so I came to your center needing the hatch lift repaired, an oil change and because I heard the news report regarding the Engine problems with the 2011-2019 Kia Sorrento, I wanted my vehicle checked out. I was told by the manager that the only thing he could take care of that day was the oil change. He said that I needed to come back on a weekday. Needless to say the part on the door broke and I could not get the door closed. At which time I took my vehicle back to Riverchase Kia who placed the order for the needed parts to do the repair but was only able to replaced one side because when the right back side broke it stripped off a part that fell inside the frame. I was told that the part would have to be welded into place. I had prepaid for the parts but was not charged for the install since they could not do a complete job. I then took the part and the vehicle to a welding shop. In my view, if Trussville Kia had taken the time to initiate this service the day I came in, it might have precluded the break and the stress and frustration that I experienced. I will not be back to Trussville Kia and I will not recommend your dealership to ANYONE that I know. Oh yes, the oil change was at no charge - a consolation for a boggled oil change that they had performed previously and left the system open and when I got to my next destination I was told that something was leaking from beneath my vehicle. When the hood was opened OIL was everywhere. I went straight back to the shop to find out that the ladies in the shop had noticed oil on the pavement when I drove off BUT no one called me. Thank God for the clerk at Oreilly’s who was watching as I pulled into the parking space in front of his store. And thank God that I had the presence of mind to take pictures….. More
