The day after we drove our new Kia Sportage home while my wife was driving it on the interstate a crack appeared in the windshield and spread as she drove. However when we brought the vehicle back to the dealership the manager of the service department found a a small chip in the class which he said indicated that something had impact acted the glass and consequently the glass could be replaced under warranty. I was thinking that if nothing had hit the glass while my wife was driving, perhaps the glass had been hit while the the vehicle was on the carrier while in route from the factory to the dealership. However, I never had a chance to explore that possibility with the service department. When the general manager heard about the situation he said that the dealership would take care of the problem at their cost. Since the service department does not replace windshields. They arrange to have the windshield replaced at my home by local glass company with instructions to send the bill to the dealership. I would highly recommend Sarah kill if you’re looking for a new vehicle. More
