My daughter was a first time car buyer with good credit score but limited income. I assisted her with her purchase. During our buying process, I questioned a discount that I was told we didn't qualify for score but limited income. I assisted her with her purchase. During our buying process, I questioned a discount that I was told we didn't qualify for and the amount was added back to the price of the car despite the internet price listed included $4000 worth of discounts and a cheaper price. I asked to be provided with a break down of the discounts but was never provided with it. I was referred back to Vernon Marable for my request. When I challenged the issue and made my request again to be provided the discount breakdown he told my daughter and I that basically the car was the price on the paper and we could take it or leave it. He stated he had "bent over backwards” for us and we could just leave the car and not buy it cause the price wasn't changing. He was the rudest and most unprofessional sales person I've dealt with and I am sure had a male been present with us we wouldn't have been talked to or treated so disrespectfully. Even the sales person completing our paperwork stated he couldn't believe he spoke to me in that manner after he left the office. If we hadn't gotten so far in the process I would have gladly walked out and went elsewhere. He may have provided excellent service to others but today he missed the mark and needs to take a course on professional maturity and courtesy. If buying with discounts make sure you ask for the breakdown because otherwise the internet pricing will change at the table. I asked why list a price with military discount automatically when most people don’t qualify for that and could not be given an explanation why it’s done this way. .it’s hard to trust their word when you can’t see it for yourself. A salesman could tell you anything to line their pockets. More
