Bait and Switch I went into this dealer 2 years ago to look at a used car on the lot. After test driving the car I enjoyed it, it just didn't have all the options I I went into this dealer 2 years ago to look at a used car on the lot. After test driving the car I enjoyed it, it just didn't have all the options I was looking for. Sam and I sat down and looking through used cars online and couldn't find a car that matched what I was looking for. I told him to let me know if he found anything. A couple days later he called me saying they had a car that had all the option that matched my needs, however it was a new car with 0% apr, but with the price he gave me I couldn't pass it up. I showed up the next day to buy the car and the car DIDN'T have the option I told him I needed in the car. This guy obviously knows nothing about the cars he is selling! He then brings me to his desk while he franticly looks for a car with the option I need. He finally finds one but can not meet the price he promised me. He then continues to tell me "You know this is a $2500 option, right?" That is not the answer I was looking for, I told him what I wanted and he should have found a car that included it. Instead he offered me a car at a low price and told me the car had the option to BAIT me into the dealership, and then SWITCHED the price while I was there. Another big no no was the supplier discount I was supposed to get. I told him that I worked for an automotive supplier and that I should be eligible for a discount (I believe the X plan) however he disregarded that, as if I wasn't and told me the only way to get the final price he was offering was to sign up for the mustang club and I could get the X plan that way. Overall I was a victim of bait and switch and Sam didn't know anything about the cars he is selling, and if he does he is very devious and is try to get the most commission and the expense of the customer. He helped me understand the ins-and-outs of the extra coverage for tires which was really helpful. All the way to my IT gal who helped me set up and my sync my phone to my car was very personable, knowledgeable and professional.
