Car had problems within one day of purchase I purchased a pre-owned certified 2016 Honda Civic from Selma Honda. Within 1 day of purchase it was noted that car would lunge at stops despite brake I purchased a pre-owned certified 2016 Honda Civic from Selma Honda. Within 1 day of purchase it was noted that car would lunge at stops despite brake pedal application. The car would also shake while applying acceleration. At times there was an inability to accelerate fully past 30 mph. On the last event the engine light, brake system light, and power steering light all came on. The car was able to start and drive, but again not accelerate normally. The car was towed by Selma Honda back to service. I was informed it was a dead battery and it was likely because I left the cabin light on. The battery was replaced and the car returned. First of all why would you insult the consumer. Second I did not leave the cabin light on. Lastly how could a dead battery explain all of what I described above. I ended up taking my car to an independent mechanic to have it checked. What's the point of having a car certified if you're not even going to check the battery before selling it to me. I cannot trust this place and will never buy a car from here again. 2 years ago we had more problems with a used Ford fiat from Selma Kia. I guess I can trust the entire Selma group. I would not buy any used car from here. More
Save your time and money! Went to Honda ran my info and left because it was late and would get a "better deal and response by tomorrow because it wasSunday" I did get approved Went to Honda ran my info and left because it was late and would get a "better deal and response by tomorrow because it wasSunday" I did get approved at a great rate with a good bank the next day and Honda gave me a deal that sounded great over the phone until I started asking questions! They were forcing on extended warranty that I as a consumer have the right not to purchase but according to their JP and sales managers at HONDA SELMA they were losing money on the front end because of what they had discounted on the vehicle and what they were giving me for my trade so in order to make the deal do able for them they had to make money off of me on the back end.. They wouldn't honor my deal unless I took the warranties! So check twice If you are buying from SELMA HONDA.. According to their JP Jonathan they sell 700-800 cars in the auto mall so they MUST be doing something right. Worst experience ever. I drove all the way from Porterville even though I work in Delano because I thought I was going for a "great experience" and "great customer service". I don't think I ever thought in a million years a dealership with that much volume would ever do such a dishonorable thing. Just shows how some dealerships are!! I've been working at a Chevrolet dealership for 4 years, and I heard some stories from customers but I couldn't believe the things, until now I can because it has happened to me. The owner should be ashamed of the people he has working for them.. I should've never token my time or given my time to reach out to their JP Jonathan since he basically told me he didn't need my business since they sell so much.. Please save yourself the time to make it out here and take your business elsewhere. More
we went to go see a truck that was for sell back in June of 2013. When we were negotiating the deal i noticed that the key did not have a control for the doors. I ask Joshua about the other key and the control for the doors and he said that they were looking for them. They came back saying they couldn't find the other key. I said if the truck doesn't have a control i don't want the truck, Joshua said if thats the only reason holding back to purchase this truck don't worry we will get you the control, call us back later and will take the truck in for you and get you the control at a toyota Dealer. When we were signing papers we didn't really pay attention the guy that was signing papers with us said "sign this form its so that we can get you a key and the control". He never mention that it was some kind of key replacement insurance and that we were actually paying for it. This was a charge that we were not aware off. We went back to the Dealer "Selma Auto Mall" talk to Joshua and all he said was "sorry but if its not on the Due Bill I can't do nothing about it". I said are you serious????!!!! you promise me the control and thats one of the main reason why we purchased the truck, i told you that i wouldn't buy a 27 grand truck that didn't have a control" He said i can't do anything about it. That was very rude of him after promising the control and then adding fees on my contract that i didn't even know. More
