The belt tensioner and idler rolle While traveling to see a client in Groton, CT on 1/29/20, I experienced a major automotive failure in my 2011 XC90. The belt tensioner and idler roller went while on I-395 causing the loss of 80% of my steering ability and continuous overheating of the motor. I was I was able to nurse the vehicle to Secor Volvo and they were able to take me in, diagnose the issue, set me up with a rental vehicle in order to fulfill my business obligations, and repair the vehicle in 24 hours. This was "cold call" so to speak as I did not call prior to coming in. As luck or timing would have it, the service staff at Secor basically went into battlefield triage mode and took care of me right on the spot. I would rate them very highly. More
Good experience. It was pretty much like every other car dealership. They want to get the most for their car and give you the least amount for your trade in. We were in the midst of a 3-1/2 hour drive to CT when I heard a whining noise like the wheel bearing was going, so I called Secor, our service center while we lived in CT. Negotiating and purchasing a car can be a stressful experience however the team at Secor did a really good job to understand our needs. Some minor concerns were quickly addressed. I deducted 1 Star as the CPO inspection report indicated paint was inspected by the service tech yet Diane noticed several chips on the bumper. These really should have been taken care of by service. Unfortunately the parts department didn’t have touch up paint in stock; we were told it would be mailed. More

Paperwork was ready when I walked in, all I had to do was sign some paperwork which the finance person Steve Matters guided through with ease. Then met with Stephen Plona for a quick and thorough tutorial and on my way I went. I would definitely use Secor Volvo again, even if I had to drive over an hour to get there.
