My car sat on the service lot for two months for a job of 1-2 days worth of labor. The repair job did not prevent a repeat failure. I had my only car towed to the dealer for warranty repairs. Some were unavoidable, such as backordered parts or a slow-to-move warranty company. But there was a point where 23 days had elapsed since a part was expected to be delivered. I called service regularly throughout that time, but there was no action taken. I had to call the parts department directly to get the issue addressed and the part re-ordered. Since the dealer did not provide a loaner car, I used up the one-week warranty-provided rental car and needed to buy a second car to get to work and run errands. My service rep for the first month of the process, James, was very kind and understanding; however during the first two weeks I felt treated like a low priority amid delays in scheduling with the warranty company to get the repairs authorized. For a repair bill totaling $3000 (of which warranty paid $2500 of), I was given a discount of $50 after I expressed my concerns. Two bolts replaced as part of the repair job fell out of their housing two months later. More
