I recently purchased a vehicle from Scottsdale Mitsubishi while trading in a vehicle at the same time. I received the trade pay off over the phone from my previous lender with the sales representative from S while trading in a vehicle at the same time. I received the trade pay off over the phone from my previous lender with the sales representative from Scottsdale Mitsubishi listening in and taking the details. He provided the dealership details to the lender to get the correct payoff. I thought when the deal was all done and I drove off the lot, that was it. I have since been hounded by the general sales manager Jacob Delaney now saying that the trade payoff was incorrect and that I owe the dealer another $2,650. Thirty one days after the deal was done I went into Scottsdale Mitsubishi because my trade had not been paid off to the previous lender, the registration was not submitted in my name, and I had zero correspondence from the new lender with payment details. I was received very rudely by the finance manager. I explained my circumstances to him and that I was just seeking information. He told me I was liable for 45 days to make any payments on my old vehicle and that was the way it was. He didn’t look up my deal, didn’t explain why, just rudely replied and caused a scene calling security when I questioned further. Thankfully another finance manager stepped in and provided some needed information. Come to find out, they only then sent the payoff check to my previous lender the next day, 32 days after the deal was done, and after that unsettling altercation. Also found out that they had finally submitted the sales order details on the new vehicle the next day after that altercation. Now I have the sales manager Jacob telling me that the payoff, the one THEY received from my previous lender, was the incorrect amount and that I need to give them an extra $2,650 out of my pocket. In my opinion, if you want quality service and to deal with kind professionals, this isn’t your place. I will never do business with Scottsdale Mitsubishi again. The rudeness from the finance manager and the unprofessional nature of the whole deal is unbelievable. More
