This is the third Honda I have bought from Scott Honda and have dealt with Jayne Moulder each time. She has been an outstanding sales person, friendly, professional and a peasure to deal with. When I walked into the service area I saw my car sitting there.I had to find someome to answer my question as to whether my car was ready. It had been ready for 1 hour. As I read my service invoice it stated that the car that had been serviced was our 2011 Civic. Which meant my stickers were null and void. My call to Don Chandler was not returned until 5:00 pm the next day. At this point I was traveling through Massachusetts. He assured me he would get to the bottom of the problem, two weeks later I received a call that indeed I was right and that I would have to bring my car back for the proper stickers. I made the appt. and when I arrived at the dealership they stated that they did not have my name on the apt.roster. I then made an appt. for my car and my daughters 2011 Civic. She needed new windshield wipers and an oil change. 2 hours later we were still waiting, once again when we walked into the service area to check we saw our cars sitting there. The service tech stated that the Civic needed 2 new tires, front brakes and a wheel alignment. The car is one year old. I took it to a reputable mechanic who said it did not need brakes and the tires only needed to be rotated. Two days later my daughter brought the car in for the windshield wipers (unaccompanied by me)and the tech told her she needed a new fuel tank because the fuel tank could have a hole in it. After a hysterical phone call to me, I called Doug Parisano who said it wasn't he who told her that, but that it was a recall on the car. Why then wasn't this adddressed 2 days earlier when she was having the oil changed?? Calls to the service manager have gone unanswered. P.S. We bought all 3 of our Hondas at Conicelli Honda, they went above and beyond to get our business. It's too bad for Scott because we bought 2 cars in the same day last year. More
This was my second time buying a car from Scott. I had a great experience with Jeff the first time and used him again while buying my second Honda. Jeff's outgoing and friendly personality made the process great experience with Jeff the first time and used him again while buying my second Honda. Jeff's outgoing and friendly personality made the process of buying such a significant purchase easy. His willingness to find out exactly what I was looking for and going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied, left me leaving the dealership very pleased. In addition, Tom was equally as pleasant to work with during the financial process. I appreciated his patience and knowledge to go over all the necessary facets and insurance options. I would highly recommend working with Jeff when buying your next car from Scott. You'll find his knowledge about the products he is selling to be very well suited for any consumer. As a teacher, I would also recommend not leaving the dealership without a Scott Honda pen. Not only do they write well, they also have many original color combinations! More
I would not lease a car from any other dealer because of how good a customer experience they deliver. This is a dealer that consistently outperforms my expectation is sales, service and integrity. For how good a customer experience they deliver. This is a dealer that consistently outperforms my expectation is sales, service and integrity. For example, when turned in my 2009 Pilot lease for a 2012 Pilot lease last week I inquired about the wiring harness for towing and roof rack which are not standard in the LX trim level. They said, no problem, we will put a new harness on versus transferring from the old vehicle and we will put the bars on also. No haggling, only had to ask once and it did not change the lease price. Bottom line, I am getting a brand new vehicle for $20/mo less than I was paying for my 2009 Pilot. Nice. Also, my new lease was a bit tricky because my 2009 Pilot was registered in my name in Pennsylvania and my new Pilot was leased in my company’s name in Delaware. Noel, my sales consultant, has his finance person come in 8p the day before I was picking up the vehicle to make sure everything was 100% so I could show up the next morning, sign, and drive off in less than 40 minutes! The real show stealer is the service department. My service manager is Ed and he is fantastic. Let me provide an example. A couple of times I was going to wait for service and then changed my mind when I dropped off the car. Without hesitating, Ed offers to pay for an Enterprise rental for the day so I can be on my way. People ask, why would you pay for dealer service when you could take it to a local garage and pay a little less? I reply because I can’t afford not to take it to Scott Honda. Ed always has the work completed on or before the promised time. I can drop off the car and be on my way in under 10 minutes and never ever have to wait. When I get the car back, it is always washed and cleaner than when I brought it in. I don’t think my service experience is unique as I believe Scott Honda has the right culture and processes to make my experience reproducible for all their customers. More
Please see the following reasons as to why I have rated Scott Honda in my opinion so poorly. First and foremost I want to state that the sales rep. that I deal with at Scott Honda is Noel Montesano. I h Scott Honda in my opinion so poorly. First and foremost I want to state that the sales rep. that I deal with at Scott Honda is Noel Montesano. I had always dealt with Doug Hopkins prior to Noel and Noel has always treated me,my wife and my daughter with the utmost best service regarding purchasing of Honda vehicles. Noel has always gone out of his way to serve us and this is the reason I come to Scott Honda to make a purchase, I do not prefer to have my vehicles serviced at Scott due to my past experiances with the sevice department. I have since taken my vehicles to other Honda dealers. Please see my letter below which indicates my issue with your service department dating back to December 2008. I am only mentioning this letter because you state that you wanted a reason for the rating shown above.I do not expesct a response since I never received one in three years. I did however receive a response from American Honda Customer Service Co. Inc. on March 19th 2009. They stated that they would contact Scott Honda. I never heard anything after that letter. Re:SERVICE INVOICES # 759264 –12/26/09 and #760704--1/9/09 Attention: Service Manager On 12/26/08 I brought my Honda Accord in for service to determine why a malfunction light was coming on and off. Your service advisor (Fred Alvisi) stated to me that I needed a software update. I agreed to have this update performed and waited for the completion of service. After I left your shop I drove the car for about a week or so but it still ran a little unusual with occasional vibration when shifting etc. Accordingly, I decided to return to Scott Honda on 1/9/09 to have this issue looked at and I also requested a 67,500 mile interval service done. The service was done however your service technician could not duplicate the issue of vibration etc. I remained concerned about this however for the next few days the vehicle seemed to run OK until 1/15/09 returning from a trip my malfunction light came back on and the car started to react like I incurred a fuel problem. It was bucking and idling very rough. Since I was too far away from Scott Honda and in the state of Georgia, I had to locate a Honda dealer in Brunswick where I had the service dept. check out my car. They stated to me that they were very familiar with the problem and that I needed three prior software updates which were apparently overlooked by Scott when Scott updated on 12/26/09. I agreed to have the three updates performed. I am concerned about the original diagnosis by Scott and would like to know if this is really what happened as far as overlooking the updates that were performed in Georgia. The Honda dealership in Georgia provided me with copies and service bulletins to support the required updates. It was not a pleasant experience breaking down so far away from home and incurring additional expenses with lodging and meals as a result of this delay. I have always been pleased with the service and would like to continue to experience the treatment and courtesy offered by Scott Honda. I have always regarded Scott Honda as a excellent organization. I would however like to clear up this matter so I can feel comfortable that something like this is not likely to happen again. I went to this dealership because it was recommended by a friend who has success buying a civic. I really wanted to buy a new honda, and found one I liked. There was supposedly only one on the lot from the t friend who has success buying a civic. I really wanted to buy a new honda, and found one I liked. There was supposedly only one on the lot from the truck that day and the next one was not coming for 4 weeks and if i did not purchase it right there I would have to wait. When I tried negotiating the price Mr. Bausman was not willing to work with me in any way, shape, or form. He was truly pressuring me to purchase this car. I also had asked to see what was in the used stock and was shown a ford and a mazda, and was not offered to see any other car. He even worked at a different computer than the one on his desk and came back with answers, so he was not working in front of me. I did not feel comfortable, I felt rushed and stressed and I decided I was unwilling to make my investment with such a conniving person. More
Good service. Doug and Don worked to resolve a problem I had with my 2010 civic coupe. Originally repairs were not going to be covered under warranty. After searching far and wide for a very specific make/model/color of vehicle, I located what I wanted at Scott Honda in West Chester, PA. I contacted the dealer through their website's internet cha make/model/color of vehicle, I located what I wanted at Scott Honda in West Chester, PA. I contacted the dealer through their website's internet chat and communicated with salesman Sean Larry. He promptly answered all of the questions I had and set up an appointment to meet with me the following week. Sean was very flexible, and was willing to stay late if necessary since I was traveling from a few hours away. When I arrived at the dealership, each person I came in contact with was very friendly, and offered their assistance. The vehicle I had traveled to see was exactly as described; in great shape both inside and out. At no point during my visit did I feel I was being pressured into making a decision. Sean was very laid back, and willing to discuss any concerns I had. After I decided to make the deal, Tom Dainora, Scott Honda's Finance Manager, made the paperwork a breeze, and was very knowledgeable about the finance options and details. He was even able to get me a finance rate lower than anywhere I had been previously (a very welcomed surprise). Knowing I was new to the world of car buying, he broke down the terms and made sure I understood what I was signing. I am happy to say that my first experience with buying a car was a very pleasant one thanks to Scott Honda! I was able to meet some great people, support a great business, and get the exact car I had been searching for. More
Went on a shopping visit for a new CRV to Scott Honda in West Chester. Salesman was friendly and showed is a wide selection. When we talked numbers, I expected the usual back-and forth on price. We had West Chester. Salesman was friendly and showed is a wide selection. When we talked numbers, I expected the usual back-and forth on price. We had done some research and had memorized some ranges as well as financing. When we got down to the monthly finance amount, the number he quoted seemed higher than my estimates. I asked, "What interest rate are you using here?" The salesman said, "Ahh...it's what ever the best rate that the front desk quotes me." I said, "Please find out." After a brief phone call (probably to no one), he said, "it's 4.9%" My wide-eyed response: "You know, Honda's website and every other dealership is advertising Honda's .9%. The salesman's response: "Really?...huh...(he pokes at his computer screen)... yeah, how about that!" I said, "Rework the numbers" and made my mind up at that moment that this deal was a non-starter no matter what the end price was. The salesman was very knowledgeable about every aspect of Honda and the CRV model - I don't think he was unaware. Seems that Scott Honda assumes that the customer is ignorant and is applying tactics from the home mortgage industry. Had I not questioned the rate, it would have cost me over $2,000 over the life of the car loan. Snookering customers on the finance rate (when it's advertised everywhere) may be legal, but is just plain stupid. More
