We brought our Chevy Traverse in for a regular oil change after noticing small oil stains in the driveway. We asked them to check for a leak and fix it if there was one. They said they would. We put cardboard under the car and could clearly see fresh oil spots, proving the leak was still there. So when bringing it back again for the next oil change, we told them the issue hadn’t been fixed. They said they’d take care of it. Again they did not. On the third visit, October 2nd, my wife Angela told them again that the oil leak needed to be repaired. She was told it would be handled. But, less than two hours after leaving, oil was dripping again. We wiped the pan clean to make sure it wasn’t residue, from a sloppy job. But, new drops formed right on the oil pan a short time after. That’s three visits for the same problem, and each time they upsell us on something else that "needs" to be fixed. We keep spending money while the original issue still isn’t resolved. The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because of Alex, who was professional, polite, and respectful with my wife. If it weren’t for him, this would easily be one star. I’ll gladly update this review if they finally fix the leak — but it shouldn’t take three visits at dealership prices to get one repair done right. More

I had been buying and servicing my vehicles for nearly two decades in Schumacher Chevrolet of Denville, but not anymore. Even though I must pay $100 deductible each time for using the extended warranty in two decades in Schumacher Chevrolet of Denville, but not anymore. Even though I must pay $100 deductible each time for using the extended warranty in the other dealership versus $0 in their shop, which I purchased there at the time I got my new vehicle. That should be very telling. I had given many lip services rather than real ones. I always gave a benefit of doubt because we all humans and make mistakes but if the same mistakes happen again with requesting to check on those things and being told to your face by their mechanic, “I don’t care”. Not to mention, when I brought it up to their service manager and was told that GM makes JUNKS. He bullied me for not giving a bad review/rating to their shop rather than addressing why my question about the issue I was experiencing. More
I purchased a used chevy trax last June with under 24000 miles and shortly after the AC started blowing cold air. Now, when I go to use my AC, it is blowing hot air again. They just added freon last year and ignored the problem and now want to charge the $1500 for a new air compressor and are charging the diagnostic fee to check the problem they already knew about. Went in for a test drive to see how the car drove and what kind of space it had to fit the kids once in a while. Took test drive with David Rose and found him to be very dismissive (once he knew I was n what kind of space it had to fit the kids once in a while. Then he tried to make my test drive SUPER short and got irritated when I gave the Camaro some gas to see what it was like (moderate, but not floored). Meanwhile the person on the test drive just prior to me, in the EXACT same car took it for a drive by himself without a salesman. If they know you are interested in a car like this, the salesman should expect you to push it a little to get an idea whether you will be happy with it's performance. If they are not comfortable with that style of driving, DON'T go on the test drive! This guy needs to find a job that he doesn't have to deal with customers. Miserable and awkward experience. Even though David was unpleasant, the car drives so well that it immediately put a smile on my face. So when he asked if I wanted to order one when we returned to the store, I was ready to, but told him NO, because I didn't want to be around him for another second. Sorry Schumacher of Denville, but you won't be getting this sale because of your salesman (David Rose). The rest of my experience there was quite pleasant. More
